Will Young's ethereal dance ballad Jealousy gets a tale of unrequited love from Diamond Dogs, beautifully shot by Will Bex.
Diamond Dogs: "One of the spectacular joys of music video is that every now and then two worlds collide. In this case, Diamond Dogs and producer Gareth Thomas had to brush up on the world of acrobatics and circus skills. 
"They chose to work with high level hand to hand acrobats Nathan and Isis alongside artists on the flying trapeze. These incredibly committed and hard working athletes were joined by the funny, fit and fabulous Will Young. So although the shoot was a long and physically challenging one for everyone involved - working with such consummate professionals from both worlds made it one of the most enjoyable and rewarding shoots we have experienced in ages".

Will Young 'Jealousy' by Diamond Dogs

Medieval myth comes to East London in a modern guise as the terrors of the age are represented by a group of faceless hooded youths - the four BMX riders of the Apocalypse. 
They are also accompanied by the real thing too - an awesome Apocalyptic horseman - in this very moody and menacing portrait of inner city life for Magnetic Man and John Legend's Getting Nowhere by Diamond Dogs - a radical change of tone from Phil Sansom and Olly Williams's usual lighthearted style. 
Shot around Docklands, this is grim, forboding, and very impressive indeed - with great photography by Robbie Ryan.

Magnetic Man’s Getting Nowhere feat. John Legend by Diamond Dogs

Hurts round off the year with their one-off Christmas single (they're all at it), complete with a delectable promo from Phil Sansom and Olly Williams, which amusingly features characters from each of their previous videos. 
Shot in Abney Park cemetery in downtown Stoke Newington, the promo features what appears to be a unseasonably sad event, that gets transformed. And a nice shot of humour from a band that can appear to take themselves rather seriously. Just a pity the real snow didn't arrive a bit earlier.
But what we really want to know is: are Phil, Olly and Dougal's Philthy Collins playing their annual Christmas show Come on guys...

This time round in the ongoing adventures of The Hoosiers - courtesy of regular collaborators Diamond Dogs (Phil Sansom and Olly Williams) - the band are rugged jeep-driving explorers in a volcanic land where Time forgot. They've even lost the mullets and got action hero haircuts. But there's plenty of hair elsewhere in Phil and Olly's fifth video for the band.
The Dogs do a fine job at making a quarry in Derbyshire look like a rocky outcrop east of Java, and the hairy monster-dancers are marvellous.

The Hoosiers unveil a new synth-pop direction with Choices, and following their highly successful partnership on the band&#39;s first-album hits they&#39;ve aptly turned once again to Phil Sansom and Olly Williams (aka Diamond Dogs) to translate their distinctive blend of dorkiness and catchy pop to the smallscreen.Having raided movie genres on Worried About Ray, Goodbye Mr A and Cops And Robbers, Phil and Olly have moved things along by combining a couple of influences: a Far East booze ad re Lost In Translation morphs into a Hong Kong kung fu B-movie. And a little dash of self-mockery brings the band&#39;s essential charm into focus.

Phil Sansom and Olly Williams aka Diamond Dogs, having spent most of the year working on their new short film, return to promos with a beautifully made, satisfyingly slow burn of comic surrealism for Rob - who makes a utterly charming White Rabbit.
It's proper good stuff - and great to see Phil and Olly at last getting the chance to show what they can do with a decent budget. If only to hear the rigger calling out "Oi Olly, which way do you want your carrot to swing"....

Robbie Williams’ You Know Me by Diamond Dogs

Their background in music, and their reputation for achieving the apparently insurmountable, meant that Diamond Dogs (that's Phil Sansom and Olly Williams) were ideal candidates to make this kinetic viral to launch the new Nokia phone that may possibly revolutionise the music industry's business model.

And they did the music here too, while at the same time beating the living crap out of the basic Consequences concept, then adding some animation for good measure...

"This was our first job with Wieden Kennedy working through Dept A [HSI London's animation department] which was great. The only problem was that we only had a week to get it all together. The idea was to put across how we are changing as music consumers, that we now buy tracks rather than albums and are becoming a generation of playlist people.
"We wanted to show the different styles of music mixing together through a visual experience, a bit like a mixtape of fashion and animation styles. We needed a large collection of material from all eras of music so we decided to try and make it all ourselves.
"To get all the different looks and feels of music fashion styles through the ages we set up a simultaneous stills and live action shoot using a selection of models styled up in different outfits and art directed sets. All of the images except the Bollywood stuff were all shoot by us - we even raided our iPhoto libraries for some authentic festival images. The music was equally important, so we decided to make that too, recording my drums live in a studio, then messing around with it so it sounded like a mish-mash of musical styles.
"The images we shot were then overlaid and spliced together in Final Cut and After Effects to make patterns using strips reminiscent of playlist lines. The manifesto was then added in over the top on printed strips as animated sequences that interacted with the images. Then it was all beat-cut to the music on my laptop (which was definitely feeling the strain of working in HD.
"We spent a few nights sleeping under our desks in the office but what's new there It's a bit like a visual slap in the face, an onslaught that doesn't let up. Nokia and the Wiedens were very pleased with the result so we consider it a job well done."[/pay]

Nokia’s Manifesto viral by Diamond Dogs

Featuring a teeming cast of lords, ladies, soldiers, sailors, wenches, geezers, butchers, bakers, candlestick makers, loonies, jugglers, brazen hussies and, of course, cops and robbers.
It's the third and most ambitious collaboration yet between The Hoosiers and Diamond Dogs' Phil and Olly - an Oliver!-style Dickensian-epic extravaganza.
And the trumpet player is just brilliant.
