Tom Hingston directs a stirring live performance promo for Young Fathers.&nbsp;The director's latest collaboration with the group was&nbsp;launched ahead of the trio’s Glastonbury performance and in support of Amnesty International's Refugee Week.&nbsp;The slick edit&nbsp;intercuts lilting wide shots and frenetic close-ups to create a dynamic and lively vibe, whilst the atmospheric cinematography lends an enigmatic energy to the concept.&nbsp;The full project features tracks I Saw,&nbsp;Rice, and Geronimo - and the full video can be accessed by&nbsp;donating via the <a href="https://youngfathersofficial.bandcamp.com/community" target="_blank">Young Fathers' Bandcamp page</a>.

Two latex-clad female bodies intertwine&nbsp;in Laura Marling&#39;s self-directed video for Soothing, an intimate dance performance choreographed by Alexander Green which turns out to be less private than it first appears.&nbsp;Soothing is the first track released from Marling&#39;s forthcoming&nbsp;album Semper Femina, which continues her move into a more electric sound, started on her last album,&nbsp;Short Movie. She also began directing her own videos for tracks on the previous record, but this is her most assured effort yet, reflecting the lyrics, and the new album&#39;s themes of gender, sexuality and the female gaze.&nbsp;She told The FADER: &ldquo;I started out writing&nbsp;Semper Femina&nbsp;as if a man was writing about a woman. And then I thought it&rsquo;s not a man, it&rsquo;s me &mdash; I don&rsquo;t need to pretend it&rsquo;s a man to justify the intimacy of the way I&rsquo;m looking and feeling about women. It&rsquo;s me looking specifically at women and feeling great empathy towards them and by proxy towards myself.&rdquo;

British legends collide in Douglas Hart&#39;s morbid, expressionist piece for John Cooper Clarke &amp; Hugh Cornwell.Poet-turned-crooner John Cooper Clarke teams up with&nbsp;New Wave icon and ex-Stranglers frontman Hugh Cornwell in an unusual pairing - covering this ancient British rock &#39;n roll tune, and&nbsp;made further curious by Douglas Hart&#39;s dark and incredibly stylistic video.The clip, presented in a 4:3 aspect ratio shows Clarke as a singular member of a funeral procession. Stylistically the video borrows heavily from German Expressionism, with a hint of Dario Argento thrown in for good measure. The outcome is sinister, yet theatrical and all sorts of cool.
