After a hiatus of 24 years, Everything But The Girl are back, with addictive new release Nothing Left To Lose.&nbsp;Charlie Di Placido's video for the&nbsp;single presents a couple in the middle of a large café,&nbsp;who are swept up by the beat and launched into an energetic display of choreography.&nbsp;The other punters join in, as does the cashier, all joining together as one hive mind, until the music ends and all is back to normal.&nbsp;Shot in one take, the video is a whirlwind of creativity, which takes a familiar concept and elevates it to a new level.&nbsp;

Emmanuelle Soffé takes us back to disco’s roots, in her video for Scottish DJ duo LF System.&nbsp;The video for Afraid To Feel plays on the song’s disco heritage, dropping us into the middle of a&nbsp;70's-inspired dancefloor, full of nods to the Hispanic, Latinx and Black Queer communities that first brought disco to the fore, with particular influence from ballroom dancing and voguing.The atmospheric cinematography, flamboyant performances and chromatic styling elevate the feel-good concept, ending on a celebratory, proud note.&nbsp;

The New Hope Club boys experience four seasons in one day, in Troy Roscoe's feel-good promo for Getting Better.&nbsp;Walking around a residential block, we see the group take the elements in their stride, as they joyously perform in the middle of the street.&nbsp;"This was for sure one of my favourite shoots to date," says Roscoe. "Admittedly, as soon as I decided I wanted New Hope Club to walk through an abundance of weather elements, we had our work cut out. There was so much room for error, as instead of going for visual effects, we opted for real physical weather simulations."&nbsp;&nbsp;"The boys made this an absolute breeze - pardon the pun - as their raw talent, charisma and charm brought the visual to life and made it a pleasure to work with them. I think telling an artist you want them to walk through real rain, wind and snow is always a difficult conversation, but the boys were down for anything in order to achieve the epic video that we did."&nbsp;The playful concept is executed perfectly, and makes for a unique and refreshing visual. Now someone go get the group (and crew)&nbsp;a hot cup of tea!&nbsp;

Jessica Anne Woodley directs a high-energy promo for singer-songwriter Connie Constance.We're introduced to the artist as she coasts down a country lane, banging the dashboard in an excitable display of vigour, before she climbs out of the driverless vehicle and performs in the truckbed.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;From there, she follows a mystical light through a forest, lets her inner warrior out and fights off two enigmatic characters with impressive martial arts skills.&nbsp;It's a lot to pack into one&nbsp;concept - especially given the short runtime - but Woodley manages to do so in an effortlessly skilful way.&nbsp;

Creative trio Three Shades direct an infectiously fun promo for Bastille.&nbsp;The video for Shut Off The Lights is a&nbsp;light-hearted look at how people might react if&nbsp;their connection to the virtual world was suddenly broken, in the middle of their working day.In an age of short attention spans and technological takeover, the video follows a&nbsp;rag-tag bunch of office workers, and details their escapades as they are left to&nbsp;their own devices (pun intended).Building upon the dystopian world of ‘Future Inc’ that Bastille had already created for their upcoming album, Three Shades set out to capture the joy, euphoria and childlike innocence of human interactions in their most basic forms. It's safe to say they have achieved that and much more in entertaining video.

In his second video for DJ/producer prxz, following <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2021/09/29/prxz-child-red-milo-blake/73079" target="_blank">Child In Red</a>, Milo Blake directs&nbsp;a poetic re-interpretation of the Grim Reaper shepherding a lost soul from limbo, in his promo for Girl.&nbsp;Shot entirely in a six minute&nbsp;continuous take, this one-shot film follows this version of the Reaper as she moves through an abandoned aftermath and interacts with the Soul.The abstract interpretation of the concept creates an aura of mystery which heightens the drama of the piece - with a great use of the East London location and in particular a giant electric pylon tower that straddles the road, its frame picked out in Adam Singodia's black and white cinematography.[imgtoken data:1]The excellent central performances by Emma Aldija as the Reaper and&nbsp;Maddie Millar as the Soul are also noteworthy,&nbsp;keeping viewers engaged with hypnotic, otherworldly movement and spontaneous choreography, captured by Steadicam operator Mike Vega.&nbsp;

George Moir is the ice cream van man with his own weird, wonderful range of ice lollies, in George McCallum's video for Patio - arguably the staycation anthem of the summer.The&nbsp;West Country-based singer-songwriter's sweet,&nbsp;catchy song will ring true with nearly everyone this year - it's all about not being able to go on a foreign holiday, and having to make the best of it at&nbsp;home. Instead, its about working (mostly), and saving&nbsp;up 'to go next summer'.[imgtoken data:1]First-time director McCallum visualises this idea with inventiveness that owes something to his day job&nbsp;as an ad agency creative, and also to his&nbsp;'side-hustle' -&nbsp;as a baker of cakes disguised as very unlikely things - like a cigarette-filled ashtray.So Moir is not just a regular ice cream van guy, toiling through an English summer of variable weather - but also selling eccentric&nbsp;ices at odd prices, that are&nbsp;advertised on the side of the&nbsp;van, as you might expect, but&nbsp;which also come alive as animated characters throughout the video.&nbsp;And then, some are&nbsp;real - like a baked bean ice lolly, or one made out of loose change, or a diamond-studded ice cream.[imgtoken data:2]George Moir himself has a background as an animator, and this is his first video he has not directed himself. But McCallum has impressively built upon&nbsp;those previous DIY efforts, and allowed the singer's unassuming character to shine. And the attention to detail with the product range&nbsp;- designed by McCallum, animated by Jack Bailey - are&nbsp;the sprinkles and chocolate sauce on the 99.&nbsp;&nbsp;
