Colin Solal Cardo's latest collaboration with&nbsp;Héloïse Letissier, aka Christine and the Queens, is an ambitious short film bringing to life the singer and producer's new EP&nbsp;La Vita Nuova.Shot entirely within the&nbsp;l’Opéra National de Paris, this is an epic visual realisation of the struggles she has to go through to achieve her unique pop persona. And through that process, she encounters and struggles with a devilish creature - 'The Fauna', played by&nbsp;Félix Maritaud.The film contains blistering performances - and brilliant choreography by the legendary Ryan Heffington -&nbsp;as&nbsp;Letissier works through the building, from the roof, to backstage with her company of dancers, to onstage,&nbsp;assuming different characters thoughout.Finally, in a big production co-starring&nbsp;Caroline Polachek, a new, fiercer 'Chris' is born. Charli XCX and Colin Solal Cardo team up for White Mercedes, their second video collaboration.&nbsp;We open with Charli sitting in a white Mercedes, performing to camera - so far so normal right? Apart from this Mercedes is suspended vertically from a crane, and Charli is effortlessly delivering her lines in a similarly vertical position. My knees hurt just thinking about it.&nbsp;Then Charli is riding&nbsp;a monster truck crushing cars in its path, performing alongside a white horse and dancing in front of breathtaking scenery. The art-direction is on point, featuring stunning minimalist props and backgrounds that are inkeeping with the soft pastel colour palette.&nbsp;It's dreamy with a hint of surrealism, and is another strong entry in Charli XCX's videography.&nbsp;

Colin Solal Cardo rises to the challenge of directing Robyn’s latest visual - a classic, electrifying performance in a sandy ruin.&nbsp;Robyn's&nbsp;visual canon&nbsp;has a mythical prestige. Before she was a name in the UK, her devastating video for With Every Heartbeat&nbsp;was in heavy circulation; Dancing On My Own&nbsp;wouldn’t be the gay anthem it is today without Max Vitali’s video&nbsp;and the singer's glorious power stance in it; and Call Your Girlfriend&nbsp;is one of the most imitated dance sequences on the internet.These iconic pieces feel like the work of the same artist, but the common denominator is difficult to pin down. But at the heart of these videos are Robyn’s exhilarating performances. Her soprano voice can communicate a range and complexity of emotion in one bar, and these qualities bleed into her dancing. She is simultaneously strong and vulnerable, relatable and inaccessible, dorky and composed.And this is completely true of Solal Cardo's video for Ever Again.&nbsp;Most recently, he helmed a genre-bending project for Christine and the Queens. Released on the eve of his 69th birthday, and the release of his new album, Johan Renck&#39;s video for David Bowie&#39;s Lazarus&nbsp;begins&nbsp;with&nbsp;Bowie in a bed wearing the bandages-with-button-eyes arrangement he wore in their previous collaboration, the video for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/11/23/david-bowie-blackstar-johan-renck" target="_blank">Blackstar</a>, the album&#39;s title track.But Lazarus is a more intimate affair&nbsp;- and a triumph. Bowie gives a tremendous performance (a very Bowie-esque one)&nbsp;appearing more assured in front of a camera than in a very long time &ndash;&nbsp;way before he made his return to music three years ago.And if the lyrics are anything to go by, could he be referencing his 1970s self? Capturing&nbsp;a fire in the eyes and a cheeky grin straight out of a Mick Rock photo (okay, the teeth are better), Johan Renck has coaxed something of the old cracked actor back. The new album is definitely going to be worth a listen.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The video for Club Cheval&#39;s Discipline by Camille Hirigoyen and Julien Choquart &ndash;&nbsp;aka&nbsp;J.A.C.K. &ndash;&nbsp;brings us&nbsp;an huge&nbsp;house party turned into a massive game of musical chairs -&nbsp;a great&nbsp;idea, and a great execution.&nbsp; &nbsp; Filmed over two evenings, the video features forty&nbsp;young people - sourced on the street or via social media -&nbsp;having a party&nbsp;while the group performs live. The guys from Club Cheval lead the game, starting and stopping the music and heightening the pressure. &nbsp; The video includes long sequence shots filmed with a steadicam, interspersed with rapid movements, and subjective views filmed live on Hi8 with a camcorder during the shoot, by one of the actors.&ldquo;We wanted to create an atmosphere where you are at the heart of the party, really believe in it and want to be there,&rdquo; explain J.A.C.K.&nbsp;&ldquo;We had a very clear idea of the shots. We just had to get the party going to get them, create accidents and breaks to surprise the young people and show the excitement palpable on the set.&rdquo;&nbsp;Just goes to show that the old games are the best.

Robyn's Call Your Girlfriend is slightly heartbreaking - she's telling her new bloke to inform some poor girl that she's now his ex, and she's taking no pleasure from it. 
Max Vitali's video - a one-shot of Robyn's hugely energetic performance, conceived as a reflection of her live shows and shot in LA in a huge empty sound studio - is almost perfect for the song. Robyn throws herself around the place with reckless abandon - not entirely joyfully. There's a bit of self-punishment in there too.
