U2 are back. And with their new album Carnaval de Luz coming soon, they have been recapturing the flavour and energy of some the classic U2 videos, with directing duo Cliqua.Firstly, there was Street Of Dreams, released in July, and now the video for Silencio. It was filmed in Mexico City earlier this year, and set in a lounge-like music venue with a decor that wouldn't look out of place in a classic David Lynch movie (or TV show). The video by the Mexican-American duo is populated by a variety of outcast characters - including the devil - within the setting decked in deep red curtains and blue lights, the cinematic visuals punctuated by very cool handmade titles, as if formed from liquid. But of course this is mainly about Bono and the boys. They are centre stage, with a straight ahead performance that plays to their strengths. Silencio sounds good too, with unexpected punk-like energy, highlighted in the increasingly kinetic edit. Could this be the start of a proper return to form by U2?[imgtoken data:1]

Grian Chatten dispenses with his green tracksuit, but there's still a strong sense of the uncanny, in the video by music video directing legend Dave Meyers and up-and-coming director Cam Erickson for Marianne, heralding the new Fontaines D.C. album. It's just more lurid, surreal and, frankly, even more off-the-wall than anything they have done before. Desire and paranoia meet at a neon-drenched house party where boundaries between reality from fantasy are eradicated. And the eponymous Marianne... is she real at all?It feels like a step-change for the band, a real statement - and with a creative use of AI that is running against the grain. But with the familiar persona of Chatten at the centre of everything, it is still very Fontaines.[imgtoken data:1]

Callum Lloyd-James directs an evocative and emotionally affecting promo for singer-songwriter Last Sun. The video for Care 4 U features a man trapped between past and present, using Elizabethan dance as a way of trying to hold onto something that has already gone.Set against a cold, modern city, the film explores the feeling of being unable to move forward, watching as time continues on regardless.Boasting incredible cinematography, inspired direction and a focus on movement and texture, it's a beautiful visual, focusing on the fragility of life and love, and everything that still lies ahead. Jumping between micro and macro, we see expansive cityscapes and closeup fragments of shattered glass, a contrast that deepens the visual themes and language. As the ritual continues, the weight of this struggle begins to take its toll. Beneath the costume and performance, we see the person underneath: someone exhausted from fighting against something he was never able to control.[imgtoken data:1]“I loved putting this film together," Lloyd-James explains. "It’s a rare thing to have an artist who fully trusts and backs one of your slightly strange ideas for their song without any questions."The idea of the rhythmic dance came to me fairly quickly once I sat down with the track and started thinking about what the film could become. I’d worked with [the lead actor] Darren before, and I immediately knew he was the right person for this piece. The character needed someone who could carry the physicality of the performance, but also the emotional weight underneath it."From there, the challenge was finding a visual language for something as intangible as time passing. We’d been having milk deliveries made to the house around the time I was developing the idea, and I think that image must have been sitting somewhere in my subconscious. There was something about the fragility of it, the idea of something being spilled or broken and never quite returning to how it was, that felt connected to the theme of the film."The cold, bleak colour palette and the contrast between the softness of the milk and the harshness of the environments became a big part of shaping the world. Once those ideas started coming together, it felt like the only way the film could exist.[imgtoken data:2]"From there, the shape of the film in my head didn’t really change from the initial idea, which always feels like a good sign when you’re writing something this instinctive. It’s probably my favourite project I’ve made in a long time, partly because it was able to stay so close to the original feeling and emotion that inspired it."I’m incredibly grateful to the crew who helped bring this strange little idea to life. From the incredible work during pre-production, through to the shoot and the care put in during post-production, everyone brought so much creativity and commitment to the project. It’s rare to get the opportunity to make something so personal, and even rarer to have a team who are willing to embrace all of the weird ideas along the way. This film really wouldn’t be what it is without them.”

Coro Benavent directs a charming promo for London-based Portuguese artist Dani Toi's collaboration with rapper Lemzi and vocalist Shazzidé.The video for Look Around features a young boy (played by Huxley Syers) who sees a world of possibilities in a seemingly disconnected London. With his hand-drawn maps, that he presents to the three artists who he meets on his travels around the city, the boy orchestrates a secret 1920s magical concert, fighting back against the city's grey monotony. With a textural, vintage aesthetic and a breezy, often documentary-style vibe, there is a very engaging quality about the story, with the narrative holding a gentle sense of suspense and wonder as it progresses. And it's an excellent complement to the undulating track and celebrates the power of connection and community. [imgtoken data:1]Coro Benavent explains that the idea for the video came from knowledge of how the song was created as well as the music itself."Listening to the song, and understanding how it was composed by musicians meeting each other for the first time, made me want to explore how we lose touch with our creative selves as we grow older, and who alone is capable of helping us," she explains."Only a child, with endless imagination, can make us see the world's magic, remind us of our own worth, and show us what we can create by working together."

A Harry Styles impersonator struggles to separate who he is from who he performs every night in a bar in Benidorm, in Colin Peppard's engrossing film for Belfast post-punk outfit Makeshift Art Bar.Sean McNicholas plays the Styles-alike - who does not really look like him, but has spangly dungarees similar to the As It Was video, and tattoos. Jack Lightfoot and Sam Nutt have directed a quietly devastating film for Lewis Capaldi.Presented as a tribute to the huge number of people who dedicate themselves to caring for incapacitated family members - and the numbers presented at the end of the film are jawdropping - Lightfoot and Nutt's video for is a story of a son looking after his father who has dementia. It's a cinematic depiction of a very realistic situation, and its strength comes from the lack of theatrics. It's through a series of mundane events, that need to be repeated every single day, that we get to appreciate the level of burden upon the young carer. The film, which features excellent performances from Paul Dewdney and Stephen McMillan, comes from a very personal place, for Jack Lightfoot."For the past 15 years, my dad has been living with dementia," he explains. "Watching someone you love go through that is incredibly difficult. And alongside that journey is another one that often goes unseen - the journey of the person who stays beside them through it all. For my family, that’s been my mum."Through the hardest years, she’s been there every day - caring, supporting, comforting, and giving more of herself than I ever thought possible. It’s a level of strength, patience and love that’s difficult to put into words."This film was inspired by witnessing that journey. It’s dedicated to my mum, and to carers everywhere - wives, husbands, daughters and, as in our film, sons. To the people who stay."

Louis Bhose reintroduces John Newman to the world with a touch of self-mockery, as the soul singer meets the contenders who are auditioning to be him in his upcoming comeback. The video for Merry Go starts in an intriguing fashion with Newman welcomed at a film studio by his manager with the words: 'Welcome to Hell'. It turns out he is encountering an assortment of odd characters who are 'playing' John Newman. It's an engaging satire of the pop business and the real John Newman gives a nicely judged performance observing the activity around him with occasional alarm but mostly resigned equanimity. And finally, he gets involved himself, taking his own place in the group of 'John Newmans' for a dance routine. So this a very welcome return to videos by Louis Bhose too. He is a director with genuine funny bones, who relishes bringing surprising ideas to life. And he's certainly done that here. "John was very clear from the off that he wanted to play with the idea of a big comeback, and the idea of lots of people auditioning to be him was a fun one," says Bhose. "He even went as far as digging out all his iconic jackets from the loft, and letting our supporting cast wear them."I always liked the idea that after an offbeat series of auditions, there would be a fun, sweet moment where they all came together. And so came Harry Price's great choreo - which everyone (including me) learned. Having not made a vid for 18 months or so, it was a really fun one to get back into the groove with. Texan alt-pop band Little Image come to the English countryside with director Sawyer Skipper to create an atmospheric showcase for the band and their track The Reaper, with the mood of an old ghost story. Shot in and around historic churches and industrial sites in wintry locations near Birmingham, it features Neville Cann as the stranger who quietly stalks the band, with a supernatural aura that suggests he is the eponymous reaper of the song. Ultimately, the video is an abstract take on acceptance, regret and forgiveness, with clever use of VFX to enhance the sense of mystery and existential wonder.Skipper, who has directed several videos for Little Image and lives in Los Angeles, used the opportunity of the band's tour of Europe to capture the sensibility he wanted for the video. He then hooked up with Blindeye Films to produce the video, who came on board to help the director and band at short notice.[imgtoken data:1]"For me, this video is about accepting the parts of yourself that you dislike or maybe even fear," says Skipper. "I think that when we can embrace the “darkest” parts of ourselves, that is when healing begins. Love casts out fear, every single time."Filming somewhere in Europe was important because of the history, the landscape, and the architecture. There are some religious undertones that are quite obvious, with two of the three locations being churches. Finding the locations took a lot of leg work. In fact, this was the hardest video we have made to date."I’m grateful to get to work on projects at this level with my best friends, Brandon, Jack, and Troy of Little Image. This video would not have been possible without the belief in us from Craig and Kate at the label, and the immense production support from Blindeye Films in England, who swooped in at the final hour and helped pull all the logistics off in record time."

Joe Bentley Morgan explores the feeling of letting go, using a relationship to symbolise how happy periods in life are fleeting but leave a lasting impression in his video for Hertfordshire singer and rapper mustbejohn. The video for From the Start centres on themes of nostalgia, vulnerability, and the early stages of love, reflected in the song’s bittersweet, reminiscent tone.
Under the creative direction of Jonathan Glazer, a unique and powerful document of the lives of children living in the midst of war has been created for the new War Child album HELP(2) - by handing cameras to the children themselves.
Children from several conflict zones - Ukraine, Gaza, Yemen and Sudan - were given small cameras by local War Child representatives to record their everyday lives, and show us the world from their perspective. The results has become a very moving and thought-provoking document of the lives of these and other children living in these conditions - of which War Child now estimate could be 20% of the global population of children. Directed by Billy Boyd Cape and edited by Thomas Grove Carter, the footage has been organised into a visual accompaniment to Olivia Rodrigo's contribution to HELP(2), her cover of The Magnetic Fields' The Book Of Love.
What they did with the cameras was up to them.
The album is a sequel to the original HELP album, recorded in support of War Child on a single day in 1995, under the auspices of Brian Eno; thirty years later, HELP(2) was brought to life through a close collaboration with Abbey Road Studios, recorded predominantly across one week in November 2025 under the stewardship of producer James Ford.As with the original, HELP(2) features a stellar cast of musicians. And in addition, this project is creative directed by renowned filmmaker and Academy Award winner Jonathan Glazer, working with Academy Films, overseeing the filming and art direction for the project.[imgtoken data:1]Working with his regular collaborator Mica Levi, Glazer came up with the concept “By Children, For Children”. And in addition to The Book Of Love video, children were invited into the sessions at Abbey Road Studios to film the recording of the album without restrictions. “We handed cameras to kids so we could see what they see - the world through their eyes," Glazer has commented. "We wanted to remove the adult hand and the adult world around them - the conflict, the injury and the war."What they did with the cameras was up to them, we just encouraged them to play. What we got back was the purest form of their energy, joy and truth. It gives us a chance to not only witness, but experience their innocence, joy and resilience.”
We built complex briefs, then progressively simplified them... children filming children. No adults in sight. No conflict. Only play.
Billy Bod Cape adds: "So much of our industry is about defining the final product in the first meeting. But this was one of those rare creative endeavours where none of us knew exactly what we were making until it was finished."The aim of the project was to bridge the gap between the HELP(2) album and the children War Child works to support every day. It began with Glazer having one clear idea: let’s change the perspective - from observing the children to the children showing us what they observe. Flip the idea of a charity film on its head, and remove the adult hand in the process.[imgtoken data:2]"As we followed that thread, the video evolved with each conversation. We worked closely with War Child, and then with different fixers and production companies in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan and Yemen - each working under the most difficult circumstances imaginable."We built complex briefs, then progressively simplified them until we found the very core of the idea: Children filming children. No adults in sight. No conflict. Only play. A journey from home, out to a place where they can feel safe and free.[imgtoken data:3]"We began work on the project long before any of the album had been recorded, so we didn’t know which track the video would use. But upon hearing Olivia Rodrigo’s beautiful rendition of The Book of Love in the studio, it became clear it was the right choice for us."As we walked into the editing room, we had to begin the filmmaking process again - a new process of writing, discovery and refinement. Moving through hours and hours of footage to find the core of the childhood experience, and the connective tissue between these children’s lives that captures their innocence, purity, joy and resilience."
It felt as though they were a single group of children.
Editor Thomas Grove Carter adds that receiving the rushes felt like a privilege."The children filmed unguided by adults, and what they sent us was rough, precious and delicate footage," he says. "We didn’t want to force a narrative or a point of view onto the edit. Instead, we tried to observe what they had given us and do justice to their naivety and joy."Their shots were meandering, curious and playful. Watching them, it felt as though they were a single group of children, separated only by an accident of birth. That became the guiding idea for the edit. To find moments of connection and build the shots into a shared, childlike point of view. A camera move that begins in Ukraine and ends in Gaza. A giggle in Sudan becoming a squeal in Yemen.[imgtoken data:4]"We began to think of Olivia’s gentle song almost like a score for the film. It gave the images space to breathe, allowing the children’s rhythm to guide the pacing of the edit. Eventually building into a shared moment of playful transcendence."Billy Boyd Cape concludes that the purpose of the film is to reveal the reality of these childrens' lives in a way that engages viewers - so that they want to help. "So much footage of war makes us cover our eyes - it forces us to look away," he says. "The hope with this film is the opposite - that we look, and cannot look away. Finding so much to love, cherish and protect. No child should ever be part of war. Ever."

Shreya Jha takes Ledbyher through interconnected worlds for the propulsive Up To My Neck In U.The settings are surprisingly anachronistic for the up and coming rapper and producer who bounces hyperactively through settings which include a formal period dinner party scene and an old-fashioned puppet theatre - featuring a puppet version of Ledbyher."I wanted to do something a little unhinged, very art-heavy, and letting it live like a film," says Shreya Jha. "Rachel [LedByHer] moving through different worlds in a slightly Lynchian, weird, not-quite-linear way."We did four different set builds, one of which was an idea I really wanted to do, where we built miniature puppet version of Rachel and created a puppet show. This took seven days of prep, plenty of prototypes, but my production designer smashed it and created exactly what I envisioned. FKA twigs has a sexy fight on a speeding motorbike with dancer Shivawn Joubert in this jawdropping addition to the remarkable canon of twigs videos by Jordan Hemingway. The video for Predictable Girl, taken from the new Eusexua Afterglow album - a swift sequel to last year's Eusexua - crosses Manga-influenced superhero action movie aesthetics, with an additional twist as our heroine is taken out by a bike rider (and body double) joubert, then recovers to battle for control of the motorbike, in just about the most erotic way possible.Appropriately (but not predictably) the action and characters are transformed to actual anime - Kill Bill-style - close to the end. A storyline emerges, featuring surreal cameos - including 90s star Carmen Electra as the wedding minister - and other strange distractions that pull Amber deeper into the madness. Anderson .Paak wanders into this scenario to add another dimension of irreverence - while Amber looks unfeasibly sexy, and gives some airtime to the brand that has partnered on the making of the video. Like her previous video for Mexican star DANNA's Khe Calor, this is Olivia de Camps exercising her gift for taking a hugely bold approach in a commercial space, keeping things emotionally grounded while generating manic energy and fun - and giving the audience the pleasant task of unpacking everything that's happening. It's Olivia's genre-blending world where music and fashion collide - and for the length of the video we get to live in it.
The video lives in that space between ridiculous and beautiful, the sweet spot where chaos makes sense.
“Amber came in with this idea of a Hangover-style night, waking up and trying to piece together the night," she explains. "We wanted it to feel like a Vegas fever dream… bizarre, messy, a little too bright, surreal, and slightly unhinged."When [Amber] crashes her ex’s wedding to an older woman, it becomes this tender satire on heartbreak, that absurd loop of trying to move on and failing beautifully."Working with Amber and Anderson was magnetic. He’s pure rhythm and play. We built a gallery of wild personas for him - his iconic wigs, looks, even a bit of choreo. The whole video lives in that space between ridiculous and beautiful, the sweet spot where chaos somehow makes sense. Exactly the energy we wanted.”[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2][imgtoken data:3][imgtoken data:4]

Taika Waititi takes a step into directing music videos for real-life partner Rita Ora, and focusses entirely upon her compelling presence as a pop performer. In the liminal setting of the video for All Natural, Rita is the sole inhabitant of the space. The camera tracks, circles and lingers on her whilst she is almost continuously on the move, working within the space and with the lens. From the art direction through to movement direction, it's a punchy promo which feels both laidback and arresting. And celebrated actor and director Waititi, of What We Do In The Shadows and Jojo Rabbit fame, clearly enjoyed the experience of making the video.“Working with Rita is the easiest job in the world," he says. "I’m not even sure I could call it work. It’s literally pointing a camera at your best friend who happens to be criminally gorgeous and effortlessly talented."I mean, I wasn’t even operating the camera, I just told the guy where to point it. And all the while we got to listen to this absolute gem of a song. It’s actually a dream thing to do.”[imgtoken data:1]

The slick video for Khalid by 91 Rules finds the Texan singer-songwriter in an abstract club space, cutting between solitary performance and being joined by a joyful mass of dancers. With excellent production design and a sizzling edit by Charlie Von Rotberg - one of the nominees for Best Editing In A Video at this year's UKMVAs - the video for in plain sight comes on the heels of news that Khalid is well underway in preparing to release his new album, After The Sun Goes Down. In an interview with GQ, he noted that his upcoming music will be largely inspired by his recent journey of coming out as queer.“I wanted to recreate the impact of music that inspired me, but through a queer lens and a queer perspective,” he told Euphoria magazine. “If I’m going to come into this industry again, and in a way start anew, I want to be the pop star that I always envisioned myself to be, that I was so afraid of becoming.”

Tommy Davis delivers a knockabout comedy of office politics for Sammy Virji & Chris Lake's latest dance banger. In the video for 925, an edgy new employee played by Josh Dylan joins the office drones and immediately causes a stir, in a stylised scenario of old-school physical comedy that's well suited to the garage-influenced track. And after a couple of run-ins with the autocratic boss and rebuffed by the girl he fancies, Dylan lets loose to turn the office into a throbbing dancefloor - captured in some hyperactive camerawork by DoP Jack Maddison. "A dead-end desk job to full-blown office mayhem - all put together in less than a week," as Davis has explained on Instagram. "Massive thanks to @sammyvirji for having us on to create this naughty little number."

James Ogram directs a countryside meditation on life and death, in his absorbing promo for Poor Things composer Jerskin Fendrix. The video for Together Again finds Fendrix on a walk with his dog, as he comes across a mutilated badger. Moments later, he runs over to a bloody car crash, where an elderly man has hit a signpost in the middle of the landscape. It's completely out of place, but played straight, adding a sense of mystery to the video. This sense of surreal liminality bleeds through the rest of the visual, as Ogram captures the frantic aftermath in lingering wide shots, sun-soaked hills contrasted by visceral tragedy. It also follows the similarly eery and surreal presentation of life in the English countryside in the video for Beth's Farm - directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and starring Emma Stone - and both videos were shot by another Lanthimos collaborator, DoP Robbie Ryan.It also marks a creative reunion between Jerskin Fendrix and James Ogram, who became collaborators and friends while playing together in a band called Famous, nearly a decade ago. "Back then, I was a musician, interested in film," recalls Ogram. "I was just getting into directing alongside music and one of the first music videos I ever made was for Jerskin, with a mirrorless camera and a few work lights we bought from B&Q. It wasn’t long before things switched around and I became a filmmaker, interested in music."It was probably about two years ago when Jerskin first showed me Together Again. Its scope, beauty and emotional force was striking. It’s also very long. There was no way that I could try to contend with the many images the song conjures in one’s mind."I felt that the song needed space and I wanted to make a film that told a story without choking the song. I wanted to tell a story in as few shots as I could. The song [also] made me sad, I wanted to make a music video that was sad too. "Robbie shot the film on 35mm celluloid. He was wonderful to work with. Obviously, he’s an amazing talent. His passion for making films, from very big ones with Yorgos, to very small ones (like this one) is inspiring."

Alistair Hendry directs a gently stirring promo for singer-songwriter Mortagh. The video for Solstice paints the extremes of London life, from fleeting moments of ecstatic joy to the heavy and oppressive grey skies overhead. Shot on 16mm, the video finds Mortagh as a dancer in a derelict home. As ghostly vignettes of nightlife stalk him and bleed into liminal rooms, he continues to perform to reach his solace. The gritty black and white aesthetic adds a textural tangibility to the video, contrasting the illusory visions and memories, creating a rounded and thought-provoking project.[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2]

Tanu Muino and Sevdaliza's second collaboration, after Heroina, is another stunning visual experience - and even more provocative. The video for Messiah has the artist and the director reinterpreting religious imagery in a succession of breathtaking scenarios revolving around the idea of deconstructing patriarchal religious iconography - and in reappropriating these symbols Sevdaliza constructs her own unique and personal 'Messiah'.It starts in stunning fashion, with Sevdaliza hanging from the censer of a tower - a real one, in Tbilisi, Georgia where both this and Heroina were filmed. She then reappropriates the cross, making a powerful visual statement: that women can take that central space of power and redefine it on their own terms. The cross scenes are crucial in the video - especially when it turns into a swimming pool, designed by production designer and regular Muino collaborator Helen Gadjilova. Sevdaliza gets wet... and eventually immortalised in marble. And once again in a Tanu Muino video, DoP Nikita Kuzmenko crafts every frame - every decision on lighting, framing and movement is meticulously calculated - to support the narrative of deconstruction and empowerment that Sevdaliza and Tanu are going for.Produced by DRAMA, the video confirms that Sevdaliza is among a small group of pop stars whose artistic identity is wrapped up and often best expressed through her music videos. That invariably involves audacious and controversial ideas and this is no exception. She has found an ideal foil for her ideas in the visions of Tanu Muino.[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2][imgtoken data:3]

Tanu Muino unleashes her visionary powers to launch a new era for Sevdaliza - and introduce the artist's powerful new alter ego: Heroina. In the video for Heroina, Muino creates an extraordinary futuristic fantasy in which Sevdaliza sports multiple robotic scyth-limbs, and the recurring visual icon in the video is the stiletto shoe and heel, used a symbol of feminine strength. The visual heralds a pivotal change in musical direction for Sevdaliza, embracing a seamless fusion of Latin pop and RKT, and features Argentinian singer La Joaqui. Together with characteristically bold cinematography and production design - by Muino's regular collaborators Nikita Kuzmenko and Helen Gadjilova - the choreography which centers on bold and dominant movements. Sevdaliza, La Joaqui, and a cast of dancers embody the "Heroina" alter-ego through this imposing presence, using their heels to stomp, to challenge, and to occupy space. This video - the first of two collaborations between the artist and the director, produced by the production company DRAMA - does not simply accompany the song but expands and solidifies its mythology. Another brilliant example of Tanu Muino's gift in the medium of music videos.[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2][imgtoken data:3][imgtoken data:4]

Apparently Chloe Slater's fans have been saying it for years. So now the singer-songwriter has decided to fully embrace their observation that she has a striking resemblance to actress Daisy Edgar-Jones in her new video by Bonnie MacRae. And the result is almost spooky - you may believe you are watching Normal People all over again. In the video for Harriet, MacRea does not so much reference Edgar-Jones's breakthrough role as to recreate some of the acclaimed TV drama's most memorable scenes with eerie precision. Only this time, 'Marianne' is usually singing to 'Connell' - played by Gus Steele, who also looks like Paul Mescal, but not quite as much as Chloe looks like Daisy. The beauty of MacRae and Slater's wholly invested approach is that, counter-intuitively, even if you're not that familiar with Normal People, you can pretty much enjoy this on its own account. But for the many avid fans of the show, it's a proper treat - albeit one that may seem almost uncanny.

Gabrielle Torreborre directs an affecting promo for Spanish duo Coro & Gully. The video for their delightful song Palomitas Sin Maíz was written in tribute to Coro's grandmother, who passed away in March, with both artists turning to songwriting to process the emotions together.Deeply introspective and human, the video is built from an abstract montage of performance and lingering narrative snapshots, building an atmospheric, gentle aesthetic. "[The video is] a joyful tribute to life and the memories that outlast it," explains Torreborre. "It was shot on 16mm, which allowed us to create a soft, reminiscent atmosphere like a tucked-away memory."This video was an opportunity to reflect, process and a reminder to be grateful for those who we still have around us and to celebrate those who have long left."

Loyle Carner embarks on a dreamlike journey in the self-directed video for the lead-off track from his forthcoming hew album.Loyle (real name, Ben Carner-Loyle) is tucked up in a child-sized bed as the video for Lyin' starts. As water begins to drip onto his head, the bedsheet becomes a device to set him on his travels. He finds himself in bed in the sea, then back asleep, waking up, leaving a public bathroom and entering a rush hour crowd of commuters and then - in a moment of brilliance - rising above everyone else.[imgtoken data:1]Eventually he finds himself walking into a crowded theatre and onto the stage where his bedroom is the set - and he walks back into the room. Throughout, Loyle is talking about the pressures and pleasures of fatherhood - a central theme of the new album hopefully! So the video is itself a surreal exploration of fatherhood, where both inner child and grown-up self are still figuring things out. It leaves things open-ended and unresolved, a cue for the viewer to get closer to Loyle Carner's new music.
