Chris Ranson directs an impressive live performance video&nbsp;for Labrinth, inspired by the artist's work on the HBO show Euphoria.&nbsp;Taking place in an expansive venue hall, Labrinth performs four tracks in succession, backdropped by a hypnotic LED screen and corruscating laser lights.&nbsp;The buzzing energy of the promo is elevated by DoP Stefan Yap's dreamlike cinematography, rotating and gliding through the space with silky smooth precision.&nbsp;

Christopher Ranson celebrates community in his monochromatic visual for Zoee8's Juice.&nbsp;Cutting together unused footage and leftover shots from&nbsp;another shoot, the video has a documentary style vibe, utilising&nbsp;establishing shots and portraits of different residents to paint a picture of the neighbourhood and its interweaving stories.&nbsp;DoP Stefan Yap employs a fly-on-the-wall approach, allowing the action to unfold in front of the camera whilst bringing his trademark technical mastery and beautiful composition to the table. Chris Ranson brings us a vibrant living portrait of the city of New Orleans in this Director&#39;s Cut version of his video for Nevada&#39;s remake of Mark Morrison&#39;s Return Of The Mack, which &#39;pays homage to the 20th anniversary of the original song&#39;.Letting a series of candid snapshots tell their own story of the city, Ranson and DoP Stefan Yap have managed to weave a rich tapestry of New Orleans culture, specifically based around Bounce music, but spanning much further than that.Showing residents of all ages, the video becomes part-documentary and part-visual poem, and an authentic tribute to the life and soul of the city itself.

Chris Ranson&#39;s video for Banners&#39; Shine A Light is the follow-up to his video for the artist&#39;s&nbsp;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrTrSGObC7A" target="_blank">Ghosts</a>, with&nbsp;a dramatic narrative starting&nbsp;on the image of a motorcycle crash, and the young male lead injured in the accident. Then he recovers only to confront&nbsp;the chilling scene of his girlfriend being kidnapped by gangsters.&nbsp;Our hero steps in to save the day, setting off a cat-and-mouse chase scene, that resolves itself in an abandoned building...Chris, who started is career as an editor, working in Soho on videos and commercials, has gone on to direct&nbsp;videos for artists including Jon Hopkins, Scorcher and Thomas Jack, and he has now joined Crossfire Productions for music videos and commercials. He&#39;s represented for music videos by Chloe Page at Lock It In.

Director Chris Foggin and DoP Tasha Back take Drop The Lime&#39;s cover of Bruce Springsteen&#39;s State Trooper &ndash; recently used to trail the new Tom Cruise movie Jack Reacher &ndash; and turn it into a noir road-trip. They&#39;ve given it a lovely high-contrast black and white sheen and brought the aesthetics of 50&#39;s car-chases by back-projecting the landscapes seen from interior vehicle shots.
