Loyle Carner tells his life story in one take in the impressive video for Yesterday, directed by The Coyle-Larner Brothers - Ben Coyle-Larner, aka Loyle Carner, and his brother Ryan.&nbsp;The video presents a touching coming-of-age story that comes full circle, all in one continuous take. We see the baby become a music-obsessed boy, an increasingly digruntled youth - as he grows to understand the world around him - becoming creative and learning&nbsp;to speak out against political and social discrimination. Then he starts making music, and finally becomes the man holding the baby.The beauty of the piece is how each element of the video works as it own world, even as the transitions occur seamlessly&nbsp;within a single Steadicam shot. It's ambitious and has been executed to perfection - and for that, Ben and Ryan engaged with the rapper's first love of theatre. They enlisted crew members from the West End, National Theatre and the stage team of Hamilton to bring their vision to life, to devise some ingenious set movements within a small space and a short amount of time.The fact that the Loyle Carner Brothers&nbsp;have come up with such a strikingly&nbsp;accomplished video, exploring the creative&nbsp;connections between music video to musical theatre&nbsp;to make serious message,&nbsp;augurs very well for their future career as directors.

A girl struggles with crippling anxiety at a social gathering - which manifests itself in a number of surreal but wholly identifiable ways, in the video for new artist Jax0n.The song Words, his debut single,&nbsp;was inspired by a friend's mental health issues that were spawned by his struggle with sexual identity, but most importantly, how the power of words helped him overcome this. In the accompanying narrative, Mr Yankey &amp; Jack Ker - aka Mr. Mr. -&nbsp;present an emotive and surreal vision of social anxiety and depression.The film focuses around a girl called Imogen, played by Lilli Mathod, and the personal challenges she faces within a houseparty, as her social anxiety throws her into the bleak and surreal world of her psyche. It's an extreme version of the social awkwardness felt by many of us - and as it turns out, a few words and gestures from others can change everything... &nbsp;

The third video to come from Róisín&nbsp;Murphy's collaborative ventures with Maurice Fulton is another wildly experimental vision directed by the artist herself.Following the overriding theme for the previous two, Róisín takes us to the dancefloor and really messes with our heads. This time for Jacuzzi Rollercoaster, there are cutout images akimbo:&nbsp;Róisín, Maurice, and her coterie of brain-addled, sweaty dancers are endlessly multiplied in mesmerising, elegantly rendered patterns.Nice job on the VFX by the extremely patient and hardworking post team at Squire - all achieved, of course, on a challenging budget. And it has been said before here, but it's worth repeating that as well as a great musician,&nbsp;Róisín Murphy is really a very talented director and visual artist too.&nbsp;

Roisin Murphy&#39;s new album All My Dreams/Innocence, a collaboration with legendary dance producer Maurice Fulton, comes with a trio of new videos directed by Murphy herself. And here&#39;s the first &ndash; a burst of lo-fi, tongue-in-cheek rave nostalgia.Filmed at London&rsquo;s The Store X at 180 The Strand, where Murphy held a two-day residency, Murphy called on &ldquo;dancers, choreographers, actors, dreamers&rdquo; to the event and has achieved a sort of highly stylised ironic version of the singer&#39;s clubby past, but with plenty of authentic passion too.Just as she&#39;s a super-creative and incorrigible artist, Roisin shows she has a real talent as a director determined&nbsp;to be experimental.
