Synchronised movement and stylised colour palettes translate into a powerful performance in Moss Kena’s Begging, choreographed and directed by Ally Green.Set on an isolated beach, a group of dancers styled in washed-out autumnal colours are moving in unison, tracking each other's movements as they walk single-file down the coast. Broken up by an emotional and intimate performance, Moss Kena does a great job of expressing complex emotion through extremely subtle facial expressions.&nbsp;Green's choreography is contemporary and reminiscent of the more aggressive/energetic dancing we have seen from artists such as Sia and Pink, where&nbsp;strength and raw emotion&nbsp;take precedent over aesthetic. Beautifully shot by&nbsp;Charlie Goodger, the location feels almost like a character in itself, due to some beautiful wide shots and unique composition throughout. It's a great execution for a simple yet effective concept.&nbsp;

Barns Courtney gets an endoscopy in a surreal doctors practice, in the video for Hollow&nbsp;directed by Mathy &amp; Fran. As the doctor uses a thin camera to search inside Courtney’s body, a 404 warning appears on-screen (a nod to the album title)&nbsp;and no organs can be found.That is until Courtney and his band appear, performing the song and jumping around the pitch black space. The doctor is alarmed, but she has just the medicine for it. From then on, things get weirder and weirder, until Courtney breaks through and rejects the doctor’s orders, turning the practice into his new performing space.The surrealism and colour palettes are reminiscent of Gondry, and Mathy &amp; Fran show that they have complete control over their signature style, perfectly balancing colour and texture to great effect. This one is a trip, and not to be missed.

After a spot of chokey, Buddy would like some quiet, keep-out-of-trouble time - but things aren&#39;t that simple on a South London estate. Even if you&#39;re a bulldog.Buddy&#39;s problem - if you want to call it that - is that he&#39;s willing to take a fall for his devoted yet hapless owner. And Eoin Glaister gets plenty of comic mileage out of that scenario in this video for Kele from Bloc Party.&nbsp;This is the latest of a fantastic run of videos by Glaister in 2017. After his ambitious trilogies for Aquilo and All We Are, we have come to expect great performances from his work - by humans. Now he shows he can turn bulldogs into stars. A bloody marvellous video.

Finally, closure is upon us! Over two months since part one was released, we&#39;re finally treated to the final installment of Eoin Glaister&#39;s trilogy for All We Are.The video for Dance picks up at the breaking of ground for the new much-hated development that the village has spent the last two episodes trying to stop. Now it&#39;s down to the wire and the village has one last hope; a gang of guerilla girl guides. Vandalism and intimidation are all in a day&#39;s work for them but ultimately it proves to be a fruitless endeavour. Sort of.A few twists and turns and some hilarious character moments later and the story reaches some sort of resolution - though probably not the one anybody was expecting. With two trilogies down now, one can only hope Glaister has a third one planned to make 2017 his year of a&nbsp;trilogy of trilogies.

Eoin Glaister returns with part two of his social absurdist trilogy for all we are, and this time; there&#39;s girl scouts.After setting up a quintessentially bizarre village community in part one and the impending motorway-based disaster that&#39;s destined to hit their town, part 2 exists almost entirely within a town hall meeting that very predictably descends into chaos. Packed full of genuine laugh-out-loud moments (the shot of the old woman fake-crying killed me) and some great exaggerated physical performances from the cast, despite being a single location, the plot moves forward nicely and sets up for a tantalising conclusion to a very British problem.

Eoin Glaister can&#39;t get enough of trilogies this year. After a story told over three parts for Aquilo,&nbsp;he&#39;s now directed another one for All We Are.The first part for Human does reveal a different beast from the social realism of Aquilo. Here we&#39;re in mockumentary territory, as a small village in middle England xomes under threat by moronic developers, threatening to build a huge motorway right through the middle of it. &nbsp;Featuring a large comedic cast (holy shit, is that Martin from Green Wing?!) and setting up a series of comedic pins ready to be knocked down in future instalments, the whole thing barrels along thanks to the track - a very pleasant racket indeed.&nbsp;Going to be&nbsp;very interesting to see where this trilogy goes next.

Somebody tie Eoin Glaister to a chair for a few months so that somebody else can have a chance at making music videos. His new clip for Glass Animals proves he&#39;s on top form as ever.The massively surreal clip depicts lovers living on separate floors in a house, who only begin communicating with one another after a misunderstanding with a dog that swallows a TV remote.Reality is skewed and stretched but this bizarre, cartoonish universe is perfectly realized in these two opposing rooms. With added weirdness from the band&#39;s cameo as shopping channel stars and an extended dance sequence involving a 6ft bipedal dog, there&#39;s certainly a lot to digest here besides a TV dinner. And a remote.

Eoin Glaister completes his Silhouettes Trilogy for Aquilo with a poetic third act.Focusing mostly on the character of Noah, and re-using earlier scenes with added expository dialogue, we get a little further into his character motivations. From looking after his little brother, we can see that he&#39;s a much more selfless person than was previously implied. He sees that his relationship with Courtney is going to impact negatively on her future, both in terms of her relationship with her Dad (something Noah values as he doesn&#39;t have much of one with his) and in terms of her talent (which again, is something Noah can see as special, because it&#39;s something he feels he&#39;s lacking).An emotional thread ties these three videos together, full of nuance and poetic visuals. A great achievement for Glaister and a great start for him at Agile.

TV shows often end with cliffhangers, but this starts with one.&nbsp;Greg Barnes&#39;s video for Dan Croll&#39;s Away From Today&nbsp;begins with Croll looking at his hands - and not liking what he sees. What happened? We will find out, in a piece that may boost Dan Croll&#39;s credentials as the outdoorsy type. He runs and he runs, along tracks in seemingly endless woodland, captured beautifully on land and overhead, until he reaches the sea.Barnes&#39; widescreen approach really suits&nbsp;Croll&#39;s bombastic indie-pop, and he delivers a good punchline too.&nbsp;

The second part of Eoin Glaister&#39;s Silhouettes Trilogy for Aquilo picks up pretty much where part one left off, but where that focussed on the ice-skating champ daughter here the emphasis is on her dedicated and hard-pressed father, played by Perry Benson. And it quickly reveals the reason for the closeness of the father and daughter relationship.Set mostly in a social club&#39;s ballroom class - the video takes a warm direction with some brilliant lighting design to highlight the emotional resonance of the scenario. Again, what would seem normally quite happy is tinged with an air of melancholy and the video again ends on a sombre tone. And Benson is really great here.&nbsp;A wonderfully nuanced exploration of family drama that leaves us wanting part three to come out soon!
