Ewan Jones Morris and Casey Raymond have been making videos for John Grant since his first solo album&nbsp;Queen Of Denmark&nbsp;came out more than a decade ago. It's been a remarkable collaboration, resulting in some of the weirdest, wackiest and darkly humourous&nbsp;videos ever made by a sensitive singer-songwriter from North America.Something about Grant's deeply personal lyrics and mordant sense of humour brings out the best of a couple of Welshmen with a taste for the iconoclastic, irreverent and deeply absurd. Their latest, for the&nbsp;title track from his latest album Boy From Michigan, is fully in the tradition of the likes of Marz, Global Warming, and particularly, <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2018/10/17/john-grant-hes-got-his-mothers-hips-ewan-jones-morris-casey-raymond/55552" target="_blank">He's Got Your Mothers Hips</a>, where Casey &amp; Ewan recruited a small army of leftfield animation talent from across the globe to reinterpret John's performance in a variety of ways.As with Mother's Hips,&nbsp;there are a variety of animation styles here, but more focussed on illustrating the coming-of-age tale in Grant's lyrics, about the boy living a sheltered suburban life, about to set out into the big, bad world.It includes some wonderful graphic elements - from the Robert Williams's drag-racer-style opening animation, to nightmarish morphing, Punch &amp; Judy-style puppetry, painted stock footage, animated paintings and more&nbsp;- created by Jones Morris and Raymond themselves, with&nbsp;Jenny Jokela, Marcos Sánchez and Peter Raymond.[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2][imgtoken data:3][imgtoken data:4]&nbsp;

For their latest video for John Grant, Casey + Ewan (aka&nbsp;Ewan Jones Morris &amp; Casey Raymond) have called in some help -&nbsp;eleven super-talented cutting edge animators. Some with great names like Jimmy&nbsp;Screamerclauz and Kokofreakbean.&nbsp;Together with Jones Morris and Raymond, each animator has given Grant&#39;s performance of the&nbsp;characteristically snarky He&#39;s Got His Mother&#39;s Hips their own distinctive graphic stamp. The result is an cutting-edge&nbsp;mosaic of visual styles and different animation techniques, all connected by&nbsp;Grant&#39;s unmistakeable bearded visage (unmistakeable, that is, unless you think he&#39;s Father John Misty).It&#39;s a similarly diverse&nbsp;approach to the one that&nbsp;Casey + Ewan employed with their MVA-winning video for&nbsp;Leftfield &amp; Sleaford Mods&nbsp;a couple of years ago - but even more diverse. We&#39;ve all been there - concentrating and investing so hard in something only to have it ripped out from under us by a cruel twist of fate. Ewan Jones Morris and Casey Raymond&#39;s video for Lemaitre&#39;s&nbsp;Closer - their first together since their MVA-winning video for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/08/11/leftfield-sleaford-mods-head-and-shoulders-ewan-casey" target="_blank">Leftfield &amp; Sleaford Mods&#39; Head &amp; Shoulders</a>&nbsp;last year &ndash; displays the hilarious catharsis of acting on those impulses.Even when you know exactly what&#39;s coming, this setup and punchline-style video is still be a fun and rewarding watch. Frankly, any video that manages to mix beautiful visuals with the cartoonish scenario of a strongman throwing a hapless, trumpet-playing schoolboy across a room is a huge, hilarious win.

The Lovely Eggs have their cans of Strongbow and&nbsp;are ready to party in their new video for Goofin&#39; Around (In Lancashire)&nbsp;by their regular director-collaborator Casey Raymond,&nbsp;and shot in their delightful hometown of Lancaster.Since this was filmed Lancaster&nbsp;has been badly hit by the Storm Desmond floods, which has affected the whole region. The enormous disembodied head of Steve Black, aka Sweet Baboo stalks his ex-girlfriend in Casey Raymond's charming lo-fi video for the instantly catchy If I Died... However, it does suffer a bit from the sort of interference and distortion that makes you want to smack your viewing device...
Casey also directed the excellent video for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2013/02/14/sweet-baboo-lets-go-swimming-wild-by-casey-raymond/" target="_blank">Let's Go Swimming Wild</a> for the super-talented Mr Black/Baboo. This one features a girl who looks like the girl in Submarine. Or maybe its just the coat. 
"It was filmed over a cold couple of hours in Cardiff," says Casey. "And you can listen to it in Welsh <a href="http://www.moshimoshimusic.com/news/2013/03/01/listen-sweet-baboo-be-bawn-nin-marw" target="_blank">here</a>... It wasn't meant to be distorted, but apparently that's what happens when you try and film ghosts."

Sweet Baboo's very cool Let's Go Swimming Wild gets a characteristically colourful and clever video from Casey Raymond. First and foremost its a gentle spoof of our touchscreen zeitgeist, as Steve Black aka Sweet Baboo starts transforming into a cat, courtesy of the viewer/operator who is creating the look of the video using off-the-shelf FX and wallpapers.
And the facepaint makeup is in the same ballpark as the awesome work by <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2013/01/09/young-rival-two-reasons-by-james-kuhn/" target="_blank">James Kuhn in Young Rival's Two Reasons</a>. It's actually the work of folk singer Cat Le Bon - Steve usually plays bass in Cat's band. No wonder the video is cat-tastic...

Following the marvellously wacky Allergies and the not-quite-as-memorable Food, The Lovely Eggs are back with Casey Raymond for the smashing video for I Just Want Someone To Fall In Love With. 
Armed with "a camera, two eggs, a dozen phones, a tramp on a scooter and the wrong valve," Casey captures the Eggs' Holly's resounding cri de coeur, as she travels around their drizzly, northern English hometown Lancaster, sometimes looking for the right valve. You can understand why she might want a better reason for living... 
This is Casey once more in solo mode - he usually makes vids with Ewan Jones Morris, like the surprising recent promo for Charlotte Church... I Just Want Someone To Fall In Love With, is from the Lovely Eggs' new album Wildlife, which is out today (November 26th), and they are currently on tour.

It's "high cholesterol yolkiness" (as Casey puts it) with a nod at Mr Warhol, including a stylish recreation of a famous food-based album cover.

An absolutely eggscellent video (oooh) - with a guest appearance by Gruff Rhys from Super Furry Animals playing a very tall Death, who takes the Eggs for ice cream. 
And Casey's dedicated this low/no budget cracker (oooh) to the memory of underground/no budget movie pioneer <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Kuchar" target="_blank">George Kushar</a>...
