Jodeb explores identity and freedom in the wonderful promo for Diplo &amp; TSHA's Let You Go, featuring Kareen Lomax.&nbsp;Blending the structure of a short film and music video, the concept follows a group of four friends who rebel against the suffocating and forbidding rules of their hometown, stealing a vehicle and escape, and make their way via various means, and evading capture and danger,&nbsp;on&nbsp;the adventure of a lifetime.[imgtoken data:1]Filmed in Guatemala - with marvellous cinematography by&nbsp;Alexandre Nour -&nbsp;the aesthetic is dreamlike but gritty, representing the dichotomy of chasing freedom but the constraints of reality. Jodeb does a perfect job of balancing these opposing ideas, in a fast-paced video teeming with extraordinary imagery, and celebrating the closeness of the quartet, bonded by their rejection of societal norms.&nbsp;They are looking for a new safe haven&nbsp;- and by the end they may have found one.&nbsp;

Director duo&nbsp;KENTEN direct a gripping performance promo for Tove Lo.&nbsp;The video for How Long presents the artist in two forms - a poised, rigid character who is almost mannequin-like&nbsp;, and a scorned character who has discovered the truth and feels more explosive and confrontational.&nbsp;These character traits are represented through slick&nbsp;styling and bold lighting choices - but mainly through Tove Lo's characteristically uncompromising performance. The added flourish of movement and camera effects elevates the minimalist concept.&nbsp;It's a rare feat to get an artist in a blank space and create something so engaging, but KENTEN have pulled it off magically.&nbsp;

Pablo’s inky photography is straight out of Kill Bill: Volume 2. In short, its another banger by Bradley&amp;Pablo. After their internet-breaking video for Motor Sport for Migos, the duo have helmed videos for some of the industry’s most fashion-forward names: Charli XCX &amp; Lizzo, Rosalía and MNEK. Their videos are never less than rich and stylish, and they are very hot indeed right now.&nbsp;

Calmatic&#39;s excellent video Vince Staples&#39; Fun captures an &#39;veryday&#39; afternoon in suburban Oakland via the idiosyncrasies of Google&rsquo;s Street View, right down to the blurry transitions.&nbsp;The novel execution aside, things captured by the fictional Street View car are tellingly not always as positive as the track&rsquo;s three-letter title implies. The shots culminate with the arrest of three youths on bicycles and retaliation against the camera that brings to mind a recent <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/profile/douglas-rushkoff" target="_blank">Douglas Rushkoff</a> title.

Eli Stonberg aka Fourclops is a past master of the interactive video - see his excellent work for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2017/03/13/portugal-man-feel-it-still-ian-schwartz-fourclops" target="_blank">Portugal. The Man</a>, Avicii and others. But his and co-director Brinton Bryan&#39;s new Foster The People video in some ways turns the interactive principle on its head. It looks like your Instagram feed, acts like your Instagram feed, but it isn&#39;t - it&#39;s a fake feed that becomes hijacked by the video for Sit Next To Me.One thing for sure, it&#39;s best viewed on your phone. This convincingly detailed creation of a feed (it was written by Brooks Morrison) was made to be viewed vertically on mobile, and it&#39;s an ingenious way to present a song with potential to be one of FTP&#39;s most popular since Pumped Up Kicks.
