The return of Ashnikko with her "angriest song" also heralds a breathtaking comeback to music videos by Saam Farahmand, creating a clinical pop-horror as deliriously subversive and transgressive as anything he has done before. It’s sick.You Make Me Sick! clocks in at just over two minutes, and in that time Farahmand establishes a scenario worthy of Cronenberg in a slick pop video aesthetic, inviting the viewer into repeated surges of disbelief. What is being piped in tubes between the orifices of Ashnikko and her followers? What is that murky liquid rising up around Ash and her dancers?The artist and director are in perfect harmony in their drive to create art that crosses over the line of good taste, and will generate a good deal of actual disgust, even from those who admire it greatly. It’s a brilliant smashing through into something new and dangerous, an undiluted, confrontational, controversial visualisation of raw pain.“I’ve decided to come back with my angriest, most cathartic song to date,” the singer has said of the new song in an accompanying statement. “My own personal rage room for me to smash my plates.”Saam Farahmand has added: "The video is about discovering toxicity, the purging of toxicity and the defiant audacity of revelry and spectacle within it. I continue to explore the collision between raw, uncomfortable human experience, and the seductive spectacle of pop culture."

The final epic track on&nbsp;Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2, Foals' second album of 2019, is the basis for a symbolic, impressionistic vision by the band's close friend David East.&nbsp;Shot primarily against the 'white walls of England'&nbsp;on the shores of Botany Bay in Broadstairs, Kent - and filmed the day after the UK general election in December last year - the video for Neptune is a series of long takes of various elements curated by East and Foals' frontman Yannis Philippakis, to highlight the crescendo of not only the song but the entire album.With lengthy slow-motion shots on or around the beach of galloping horses, walls of fire and glistening waterfalls - and abstract artefacts from the digital world&nbsp;- this has the quality of an art piece, to be appreciated and deciphered in a gallery. Like the music video equivalent of 'slow TV'&nbsp;this is an experience to be savoured.

UNKLE - The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (feat. Keaton Henson)

Henry Scholfield&rsquo;s latest work for Billie Eilish, sees the award winning Caviar director collaborate once again with Mosaert (Paul &lsquo;Stromae&rsquo; Van and Luc Jr Tam) on the concept. The film sees Billie with a boy in a choreographic narrative of unrequited love in a minimalist space that ebbs, flows and eventually engulfs him.Scholfield comments, &ldquo;It&rsquo;s a story of suffocating love, so we had this idea that the room itself is like an extension of Billie&rsquo;s subconscious, an echo of her own emotions. Shivering in tender moments or lashing out in the pain of rejection and eventually conspiring to hold him hostage.&rdquo;The majority of the effects were captured for real, with a combination of in camera techniques and VFX where necessary. The director notes that &ldquo;it was important for us to have as much of the mechanics and movement of the space happen in camera in order to make the relationship between them and the space more tangible. Of course there was some &lsquo;enhancement&rsquo; especially with the sinews that bind him at the end.&rdquo;In reference to Billie&rsquo;s on-screen partner, Scholfield comments, &ldquo;The dancer is an amazing young talent called Deyck. Not only is he an incredible dancer, but he could play mix of softness or earnestness to juxtapose with his natural masculinity.&rdquo;On Billie, he comments, &ldquo;She has an incredible sense of self, great ideas and a confidence that lets her craft crazily compelling performances. She only admitted when pushed that she had also been a dancer and &#39;done a little acting&#39;. It was wonderful to collaborate with her... she&rsquo;s wicked talented.&rdquo;

Henry Scholfield gets back together with Dua Lipa for a kind of sequel to the MVA-winning, near-billion viewed global smash New Rules.&nbsp;Once again Scholfield visualises the singer&#39;s internal argument with a consummate display of choreography and camera trickery. And this time there are, appropriately, two Duas. There&#39;s the stronger defiant Dua and her softer confused counterpart, figuring out how to deal with a lingering ex. And both are flanked by mirror-imaged dance squads.The constantly moving camera brilliantly merges the two groups, in a video that Scholfield conceptualised with Moseart - that&#39;s Paul &lsquo;Stromae&rsquo; Van Haver and his creative director Luc Junior Tam.&nbsp;&ldquo;I wanted the conflict between Dua&rsquo;s two alter-egos to become an emotional exchange in their movement,&quot; says Scholfield.&nbsp;&quot;I had the chance to work with the fantastic Marion Motin, to create a choreography that is something you sense/feel rather than just watch. Dua and I devised a way to make her two alter egos opposing, and she did an amazing job at personifying them in her performance, without missing a step... literally.&ldquo;For the concept, we wanted to embody the sense of empowerment in the track, whilst going beyond the literal breakup context. A visual of the internal struggle, showing the two sides of Dua&rsquo;s emotive state, like an argument with someone you love. The strong Dua at first berating then eventually persuading her weaker alter ego that they both don&rsquo;t give a f***.&rdquo;

Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones&#39;s latest collaboration with Björk is a stunning vision, combining live action and post VFX, for the title track from her new album utopia.Part of a holistic creative project that includes the striking album cover (shot by Jesse Kanda) and the previous videos for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2017/09/19/bj%C3%B6rk-gate-andrew-thomas-huang" target="_blank">The Gate</a> and Blissing Me, Warren and Nick have created an extraordinarily beautiful interpretation of Björk&#39;s concept of Utopia. She awakes in a landscape where nature and fantasy merge, amid her family of female flautists, as a sort of human flower, ready for pollination.Bjork&nbsp;is very much in the guise of the persona on Kanda&#39;s album cover, with the facial adornments created by longtime collaborator James Merry. But the real satisfaction is how Du Preez and Thornton Jones have dovetailed the&nbsp;live action performances, the art direction and the post production so completely. It&#39;s certainly one of the greatest Björk videos of recent years.&nbsp;

A big summer hit deserves a big summer video and Henry Scholfield has certainly delivered with this one for Dua Lipa.In New Rules, Dua needs to get through the difficult end of relationship with an unsuitable boyfriend, told in frank terms, with an empowering end result. Scholfield has captured this spirit with a brilliant updating of classic musical filmmaking and essentially doing what he does best.Shot in Miami, this is a beautifully designed, cast&nbsp;and styled production number in three acts, with on-point choreography&nbsp;and continually inventive camerawork. It combines the spirit and look of &#39;50s Americana with a fresh, whipsmart attitude. And flamingos.And of course the camera loves Dua so much, she can cope admirably with being the central figure in a large ensemble. Having worked together on her video for Lost In Your Light, the singer has said &quot;&rsquo;[Henry] does really cool work with choreography. He&nbsp;just has such brilliant ideas.&rdquo;In fact, it looks like the director who has done some great work with Stromae in the past few years, has found a thrilling new muse.&nbsp;

Two years on from the release of Vulnicura, Björk is still producing visual gems to accompany tracks from the album, and supplying new variations on what has gone before. In the case of Notget, Warren du Preez and Nick Thornton-Jones have already directed a VR experience for the song, but now here comes a more cinematic version.It is delightful, perhaps the best visual accompaniment to anything on Vulnicura.&nbsp;Beautifully costumed, as always, In the first black and white section of the video, Bjork threatens to metamorph into a giant moth-like creature.The second half is in colour, where the directors distinctive vision fully comes into play: a combination of pulsating flourescent pinks and yellows against humming darkness to frame Bjork in a remarkable headress/mask, designed by her and fellow creative James Merry. Fabulous.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
