Kes Glozier's video for Hak Baker’s latest single&nbsp;Lad&nbsp;explores life right before adulthood hits, and what exactly that means. If you were a lad, the lyrics theorise, then you're willing to risk everything and never look back. It talks of a decade of highs and lows, of lads wearing Prada, throwing eggs, dropping bricks, trips to the barber, going out on the town, going to jail. A lived social commentary, this is his reflection on growing up in London.The video spends the majority of its running length exploring day-to-day life, and the friendship between two teenage boys growing up in a difficult world. Alongside the carefree vignettes&nbsp;of the two playfighting, talking to girls and hanging out for hours smoking cigarettes, there are striking shots of one of the boys holding a hunting knife, and a fight between them that ends in disaster.&nbsp;Hector Abbott and&nbsp;Carnell Thompson&nbsp;are brilliant as the two young leads, and their performances are aptly directed by Kes Glozier. Meanwhile Baker observes them at close quarters, and makes a decisive intervention. This video will leave you feeling unsettled, but by adding such a powerful visual to Baker's evocative song, it&nbsp;encourages society to look for an alternative way to help keep our youths safe.&nbsp;
