Everyman Cinemas recently enlisted the help of Darkroom director Sophie Jones to create a visual piece of work that emphasises the power of music in film. Promoting a collaboration between Everyman and Apple Music, the film features three British artists; Obongjayar, Celeste and Master Peace.The end result is surreal and cinematic, combining music with arresting visuals. The project, where Sophie was also creative director, is now being screened in Everyman cinemas across the UK.

Neo-soul boyband&nbsp;Rak-Su bring an out-of-date Shopping Centre to life in this enjoyable spoof on the American-romance-meets-spy-thriller&nbsp;genre - if that ever was a genre -&nbsp;by Harry Cauty.The four guys are out with their&nbsp;four girlfriends at the mall, in the mood for love and popping that all-important question - Yours Or Mine -&nbsp;but having to fend off malicious forces&nbsp;from surprising sources (waiters, old ladies...) whilst also keeping their love interests entertained.All good fun and, achieved with a &#39;80s/90s domestic format look, very on trend in terms of retro feel.&nbsp;

But then her world begins to &#39;malfunction&#39;, triggering an unravelling of the fantasy: Jamie Lou Stenzel aka Au/Ra starts to peel away the layers of&nbsp;of this synthetic world - to find something even more synthetic lurking underneath.It&#39;s a proper pop video that dares to explore themes of identity,&nbsp;and play out like a dark metaphor for the way people hide behind their online personas.&nbsp;

Sophia Ray&rsquo;s presents a visual treat influenced by Renaissance and pre-Raphaelite painting for Amber Mark&#39;s Love Me Right, contrasted with more realistic, semi-dramatised scenes of her experiencing problems with her lover.&nbsp;Ray describes the track as &quot;an ode to a love that once was, which has now fallen into complacency&quot; and she says that her idealised&nbsp;vision of Amber - including her floating in pink liquid surrounded by flowers, like a modern version of Ophelia&nbsp;from the Millais painting - represents her imagination, and how she wants her man to see her.&quot;I wanted to switch between hyperreal stylised scenes in which Amber is the star, with more realistic domestic scenes showing small snippets of their love/loathe story,&quot; she says. &quot;The&nbsp;hyperreal&nbsp;scenes are inspired by classic Renaissance art and religious iconography, imagining Amber as an empowered goddess and romantic heroine.&quot;

Fizzy Blood&#39;s lead guitarist suffers from ADHD and Filthy Animal&#39;s video aims to succeed where everyone else has failed, and show exactly what that feels like.So it starts with a single screen featuring the band&#39;s performance, that splits into nine, and then delivers different &#39;TV channels&#39;, being experienced all at once. Sometimes one of the channels looms large and takes over a number of screens for a while, and then fades back, to be&nbsp;replaced by another.As a visual device this works for Fizzy Blood&#39;s raucous song - and it really does give you an idea what it&#39;s like to have&nbsp;ADHD...&nbsp;

Favourite Colour: Black&#39;s latest video for British singer Jasmine Thompson is a peaceful, nostalgic portrait of youth.Cutting between a sparse piano performance in an old, hazy function room and the more colourful elements of youthful hijinks, the promo depicts young people doing what young people do best: having fun. Exploring abandoned places, playing sports and hitting up the fair at night is all standard fare for the cast in this video, but the smiles on their faces seem melancholic when contrasted with the sad nostalgia of the track and the slow-motion pacing of the edit - as if trying to hang onto every moment for as long as possible.

After the fun and games at Crystal Palace swimming pool for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2016/06/21/kaiser-chiefs-parachute-ed-sayers" target="_blank">Parachute</a>, Ed Sayers takes&nbsp;Kaiser Chiefs for another day out, with very watchable results.For Hole In My Soul the band, director and crew headed for Knockhill Race Track in Scotland, and all the band - not just&nbsp;singer Ricky Wilson, the high-diving hero of Parachute &ndash; don the gear, and get behind the wheels of a set of souped-up Honda Civics to burn some rubber.Once again, a sense of fist-pumping fun is evident in the whole enterprise, and that&#39;s&nbsp;wholly appropriate for&nbsp;this unabashed arena-friendly&nbsp;anthem. It&#39;s expertly filmed too, and a reminder that watching people racing fast cars is never going to be boring if its done properly. You just need the right people behind the wheel.&nbsp;Ricky for Top Gear, perhaps?&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
