Brock Neal Roberts directs a chilling black comedy about urban youth in his latest collaboration with&nbsp;Jeshi.The video for Generation, the rapper's pin-sharp critique of a troubled society,&nbsp;explores the complex issues facing the youth of today - from drugs to violence&nbsp;to&nbsp;an unhealthy reliance on digital technology -&nbsp;cleverly encapsulated in a fly-on-the-wall aesthetic.&nbsp;From a vantage point high above the ground, the camera settles on a series of&nbsp;unfolding narratives, before quickly panning away and seeking out the next moment, involving one or more early-teen boy engaged in activities more usually associated with young men, or to Jeshi himself as on-the-spot commentator.[imgtoken data:1]The concept is lived out by a group of young boys, who light cigarettes for strangers, throw&nbsp;rocks at takeaway food delivery riders&nbsp;and ignore parents whilst engrossed in their phones.The cyclical nature of the concept is cleverly rounded off in the end scene, where the boys begin to throw rocks at a random neighbour's house, and the perspective switches from third person to first person, proving that we aren't only witnesses to the problems facing society, but very much a part of the tapestry.&nbsp;

Alewya leads a pulsating underground rave in Simon Lane's atmospheric performance vid for the singer-songwriter's Spirit_X.With Alewya tapping into the spiritual aspect of dance music, Lane creates an exciting spectacle from the judicious use of lighting, art direction, supporting cast and editing, in the rarely explored tunnels under London. Most importantly, the focus is on the stunning presence&nbsp;of Alewya herself.“This song was written from a presence and understanding of my flow state and how many things can come to me when I’m dancing this dance as crazy as it might be," states Alewya. "This is my absolute power and one to be reckoned with. It’s human, ancestral and it’s very wild.”

Brothers Loral and Ronnel Raphael - aka Sons of Raphael - literally represent the lyrics of their song Siren Music through choreography in the completely analogue video, directed by Loral.Collaborating with cinematographer Manuel Claro (Melancholia,&nbsp;The House That Jack Built) for the second time, this was&nbsp;shot on film in a single take at a high frame rate, resulting in the dreamlike, rather abstract quality of the dance performance by the Raphael brothers - both sporting Mr Punch-like prosthetics - who rise and fall, and are finally slumped on the floor, in a mirrored dance studio.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The film footage was processed, then graded on the negative. "Each grade&nbsp;alters the negative forever, so we had to put a lot of trust on the process itself,” says producer Manoela Chiabai. "You won’t achieve this grade in any digital colour grading, no matter how great your grader is."

Filip Nilsson&#39;s brilliant video for Justice&nbsp;is a celebration of the pride of Norfolk, Virginia - the&nbsp;Norfolk State University&#39;s Spartan Legion marching band. That&#39;s&nbsp;a team of 220 musicians and dancers who have clearly revolutionised the university marching band tradition.Starting with moody portraits&nbsp;of key figures in the band - before and after they don the uniform and gladitorial-style caps &ndash;Nilsson and cinematographer Steve Annis bestow&nbsp;them with a heroic stature. And that&#39;s even before their signature stomping performance blows us away.&nbsp;Firstly comes the street march, and then&nbsp;the piece de resistance: a performance by the whole band under lights on the NSU football field. And they really are playing Heavy Metal, from the Grammy-nominated album Woman Worldwide. Absolutely marvellous.&nbsp;
