Toronto-based&nbsp;Odonis Odonis&nbsp;have released this dark and dystopian visual for their track Needs, directed&nbsp;by&nbsp;Scott Cudmore, which&nbsp;is&nbsp;equal parts&nbsp;gripping, thought-provoking and&nbsp;unsettling.Driven forward by destructive and&nbsp;libidinous forces&nbsp;but with no formal narrative structure, the clip is made up of striking&nbsp;glimpses into lurid&nbsp;scenarios, with plenty of creeping&nbsp;zooms into the grimacing faces of&nbsp;powerful white men. &nbsp;Scott explains, &quot;&ldquo;For me, this is a video about oppression, objectification, commodification - old, entitled white men. It&rsquo;s about them and the system of oppression and exploitation that they&rsquo;ve created to serve their, well&hellip; needs.&quot;&quot;I&rsquo;m looking at this through the lens of science fiction but I wanted to depict that power structure breaking down. Breaking down internally. There&rsquo;s clearly no linear narrative and you are free to think of that aspect in any way that you want, but each image is a depiction of this breakdown and of repression, exploitation and finally, desperation.&quot;

Scott Cudmore has put together this seven minute&nbsp;post-modern video-within-a-video&nbsp;for Canadian hip hop artist&nbsp;Harrison that, once it gets going,&nbsp;follows rapper&nbsp;Clairmont The Second as he winds through a large recreation centre.Following him through spaces which suit different purposes -&nbsp;hallways,&nbsp;support group meeting areas, party rooms, a stage area &ndash; we pass idle extras, camera crews, and girls capturing him on small handheld cameras, peppered&nbsp;with a few strange scenes and characters... It&#39;s an audacious&nbsp;experiment that really comes off.

DJ Fresh and High Contrast have paired with director&nbsp;Scott Cudmore - taking a turn at solo directing after his run of fine videos with Michael Leblanc &ndash;&nbsp;for&nbsp;How Love Begins featuring Dizzee Rascal. It&#39;s&nbsp;a line-blurring pastiche of 80s sexy fitness videos and crime movies.The fun-loving piece sees Spandex-wearing dancers, the ones we&#39;ve seen once or twice before, finally&nbsp;break the confines of their aerobics video and old-shaped TV,&nbsp;happily invading scenes straight out of a cop drama, thrusting away in the police station,&nbsp;court and&nbsp;jailhouse, to the confusion of the actors.Back on the old TV, Dizzee also makes a typically charismatic&nbsp;cameo&nbsp;as a mouthy&nbsp;newsreader. And you may still may be inspired to jog off all those Christmas pies.
