Hector Dockrill directs a heartwrenching promo for new Lewis Capaldi track Pointless.&nbsp;The narrative for the video captures a mother-son relationship with beautiful and heart-breaking intimacy. Spanning a couple of decades, the concept follows a&nbsp;single mother who strives against all odds to give her son the life she never had, and is packed with an emotional punch.&nbsp;With a wonderful performance&nbsp;from&nbsp;BAFTA winner Niamh Algar (The Virtues, Raised by Wolves)&nbsp;and three actors playing the son at different stages of his life - including Charley Palmer-Rothwell as her grown-up son -&nbsp;the video reinterprets the song's lyrics to explore a different type of relationship, and it works perfectly.[imgtoken data:1]The naturalistic cinematography and relatable themes help make the video feel incredibly realistic and universal, and it will no doubt have viewers thinking about their own loved ones as we enter the festive period.&nbsp;With mixed dialogue throughout, we both hear and see glimpses into the ups and downs of their daily lives over the years including financial hardship and the tightrope of being a working single parent. And in keeping with the theme of family, Laura Dockrill – Hector’s sister - wrote the script, making this a family affair both on and off screen.“Lewis had a beautiful idea that focused on the mother/son bond, and how responsibility shifts as you grow older," says Hector Dockrill. "Niamh Algar is a phenomenal talent and we’re already chomping at the bit to work together again. With only a week’s prep, she managed to immerse herself into the role and completely make it her own. This is definitely a special film that everybody can connect with – a shout out to every mother.”

A disused tube station provides the appropriately atmospheric&nbsp;backdrop for David M Helman's gripping video for Holly Humberstone's London Is Lonely.&nbsp;Sat on a perpetually rotating platform, Humberstone delivers a mesmerizing&nbsp;performance in a single continuous take.&nbsp;As she reminisces about a lost lover, and the loneliness of the big city without them, she completely transfixes the viewer with the emotion and intimacy of her delivery and relationship with the camera.&nbsp;The dramatic lighting transitions and hazy post effects add a haunting, introspective mood, which just does enough to augment the stripped-back concept, ensuring the focus never wavers from the remarkable&nbsp;performance that Helman has drawn from Humberstone in this video.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2]

Hector Dockrill directs the promo Sam Fender’s Get Me Down, an emotional film symbolising the end of a relationship.The video opens with Fender revving a car engine, looking totally exhausted, moments away from speeding around a racetrack.&nbsp;A flashback montage encapsulates the ups and downs of a passionate relationship,&nbsp;flicking back and forth between memories with increasing intensity, before we return to the first frame... Fender hurtles towards a bloody accident, flipping the car, but surviving to tell the tale.&nbsp;Punchy and cinematic, the video has the same raw, authentic feel as all of the artist's videos, with an extra layer&nbsp;of action-packed drama.&nbsp;

Legendary producer Four Tet has released his first music video in fourteen years, a vivacious piece of constructed reality by Joanna Nordahl.&nbsp;The innovative video follows two best friends out on a rager at Ally Pally: pre-drinking,&nbsp;revelling at Four Tet's mammoth comeback gig,&nbsp;and running around the venue’s empty corridors. Four Tet has a particular resonance for Londoners who came of age at the turn of the millennium, and Nordahl's affection for the music is tangible in these little experiences.The gig itself is a piece of magic, supported by a staggering installation of 40,000 lights by visual collective Squidsoup. The obvious choice would have been to try and match the majesty of this event with boisterous, coverage-heavy photography. But by honing in on these girls - real or fictional - the video immerses us in an authentic stadium experience. The sight of one of the girls emptying her entire bag out onto the bathroom floor (to find her phone) will elicit a sigh of recognition from anyone who has ever gone to Alexandra Palace.Nordahl had the nerve to document this complete anomaly of an event on Super 16mm. The format is not only famously unforgiving, but also a pretty brave choice considering the limitations on run time. Thanks to Ryan Marie Helfant, the DoP behind delicate, luminescent visuals&nbsp;for Solange and Kadhja Bonet, the decision paid off. See for yourself.

Bingo rivalry gets fierce, and then gets a musical makeover in Talk Talk Talk, Eoin Glaister&#39;s latest for C Duncan - and the follow-up to Impossible.It&#39;s nailbiting stuff, as Luke McQueen (also in Impossible) turns bingo caller, and hearthrob of one lady who must beat her younger rival for his attention. The realism of the setting, not so far from the atmosphere of the real Elvis lookalike convention featured in Impossible. Only here, it drifts into fantasy as bingo night becomes a song-and-dance dream, populated by &#39;two fat ladies&#39; and more.&ldquo;The video for Talk Talk Talk,&nbsp;continues in the same vein as Impossible,&quot; says C Duncan &quot;It&rsquo;s off the wall and fun, which matches the nature of the song perfectly. The use of colour and lively imagery juxtaposed with the reality of the setting work well in creating a surreal world that is both tongue and cheek yet emotive.&rdquo;

The third video for new soul artist Collard directed by duo SOB - that&#39;s Eseosa Ohen and Joseph Shaw - is set in a lighting shop, and follows Collard on a damning descent into the depths of a sultry, sexy Hell...Described by Collard as being &ldquo;what it says on the tin&rdquo;, Hell Song, is &ldquo;me at my epitome of ecstasy and accepting the inevitable destination of hell for it, while all the while dragging an innocent but willing soul down there with me.
