The human race's symbiotic relationship with nature is explored in AG Rojas' video for Naeem.&nbsp;Exploring the potential of intergenerational healing, the complex and mysterious video - Bon Iver's first live action visual in seven years- focuses on two sets of family members who each encounter a floating rock in the middle of a road. A Father sets his dying adult son in front of this rock, and a Mother encourages it to open up the next day to provide water to cleanse her baby son.&nbsp;Intentionally ambiguous, Naeem is full of symbolism with reference to religion, femininity and intergenerational trauma, and each viewer's perception of the events will no doubt be informed by their life experience. Touching upon powerful and important ideas, the video meditates on the state of our planet and people, and the cycle of life and death that every living being encounters throughout our shared journeys. The word Naeem can be translated as "happiness" or "comfort", suggesting a return to a peaceful existence, the status quo of our earliest ancestors.&nbsp;The power of change and potential for peace is the message we are encouraged to take away from this project, and the importance of questioning life at every corner to ensure we are acting in a way that is mutually beneficial to both the universe and to ourselves.&nbsp;

AG Rojas&#39;s ambitious and arguably controversial video for Run The Jewels&#39; Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck), featuring Zack de la Rocha from Rage Against The Machine, addresses the controversy over American police brutality towards the African American community by imagining it as a one-on-one conflict&nbsp;between two individuals - the white cop and the black citizen.It&#39;s beautifully crafted, with amazing cinematography by&nbsp;Michael Ragen.&nbsp;It&#39;s also a surprisingly&nbsp;ambiguous exercise, in which the personalities of the actors (Shea Whigham&nbsp;and&nbsp;Keith Stanfield)&nbsp;and the extreme&nbsp;physical demands of their roles - has an inevitable impact on what we&#39;re seeing. It&#39;s not quite a case of mutual hatred, and in fact, there is no &#39;bad guy&#39; here. It may seem to run&nbsp;counter to the fierce polemic for which RTJ&#39;s Killer Mike and El-P (to say nothing of De la Rocha) have become renowned.&nbsp;But they say it gels with their views that&nbsp;it&#39;s the whole system, rather than rogue individuals, that is the problem.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;This video represents the futile and exhausting existence of a purgatory-like law enforcement system,&quot; says Killer Mike&nbsp;&quot;There is no neat solution at the end because there is no neat solution in the real world. &nbsp;However, there is an opportunity for dialogue and to change the way communities are policed in this country. &nbsp;Salutes to AG Rojas for his unique take on the subject matter and to Shea and Keith for giving us their all and bringing it to life.&quot;[imgtoken data:1]

AG Rojas and his crew visited 15 locations in America for this mammoth and exhaustive shoot for the promo to Modern Jesus by Alaska/Oregon band Portugal. The Man.Shot over 20 days back in April, AG unveils an evolving and highly watchable promo with beautifully&nbsp;contrasting scenes from locations such as Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee, West Virginia, Michigan, Wyoming, Utah and California. Along the way AG and his crew encountered barbed-wire wrestlers in Texas, musicians in New Orleans,&nbsp;banjo players in Tennessee,&nbsp;a boxer in Detroit, Wyoming ranchers, and flew a bi-plane out of Denver. Individually they have become among music videos heavy-hitters, but they have worked together in the past &ndash; notably on the Calvin Harris video for Bounce a couple of years ago. In fact, this was going to be the concept for that one &ndash; until, 24 hours before the shoot, they discovered that guest vocalist Kelis, was a born again Christian...So Vincent and AG finally got this done &ndash; with Brad Dourif playing the main role for all its worth &ndash; and the result is as captivating, lurid, and disquieting as you&#39;d expect from these directors...

Set in the badlands of Las Vegas, hard-hitting images of drug addiction and criminal activity are the backdrop to Emeli's relationship with a wayward lover. AG Rojas handles this fast-moving narrative with aplomb - further evidence, following his MVA-nominated Chase &amp; Status video for Hitz and Calvin Harris' Bounce (which he co-directed with Vince Haycock) that he's the real deal.
"Emeli wanted a video that dealt with addictions and personal demons," AG explains. "The first thing that came to mind was Las Vegas, a place ripe with broken people. I decided to set this just outside of the Strip, and not create the stereotypical vision of Vegas. The track is simultaneously moody and explosive, so we crafted a montage of moments that would reflect this. The end result is worth the skin rashes from the shitty Vegas hotels."

"We got the cops called on us, got kicked out of three locations, and had to wrangle four 15 year old boys for ten hours, but it was well worth it," says AG.
