UKMVAs 2023 x Kodak - The #ShotOnFilm Playlist
Promonews - 25th Oct 2023
The nominations for the UK Music Video Awards 2023 demonstrate that the love of Film, as a means to create outstanding and imperishable images, just keeps getting stronger. This year, the number of nominated videos that were shot on film has increased once again, including the number of videos shot on Kodak film.
As the company with an unsurpassable heritage as provider of film stock for filmmakers of all kinds, Kodak have been at the forefront of the Renaissance in the use of Film across all genres of moving image creation; a go-to company for music video makers to supply the material to shoot their projects.
That is reflected in the number of videos nominated at the UKMVAs 2023 that were shot on Kodak stock - some with multiple nominations, that add up to a remarkable 56 nominations in all. These videos are all to be found in the playlist below - which also lists the type of stock that was used on that project, where the information was available.
Kodak have also demonstrated their commitment to music videos by once again sponsoring one of the most prestigious awards at the UKMVAs this year - Best Production Company.
“We’re delighted to see so many UKMVA nominees choosing to shoot on Kodak film again in 2023," says Sam Clark, director of sales at Kodak Motion Picture Film UK. "Film capture continues to grow year on year and we remain committed to supporting the industry’s outstanding talent and their creative choices.”
