newsBUG x Doc Heads x War Child on July 3rd BUG returns in early July with a very special new show, for a very worthy cause.For the first time, the UK's big screen showcase for music video creativity is getting together with Doc Heads - the highly respected London-based screening event of shortform documentary films - to explore the intersection between music and documentary filmmaking.Taking place at the Everyman Screen on the Green in Islington, London on Tuesday, July 3rd, the event will feature a range of exceptional short documentary work - from outstanding music-related docs to music videos that are also extraordinary documentaries - that embrace a range of narrative styles. These include Kyle Thrash's video for Rainbow Kitten Surprise about African-American drag artists in Louisiana (pictured above). The result is a showcase of shortform documentary work that is enlightening, entertaining and very moving. And all of the proceeds of this special show will go directly to War Child, to help the charity’s important work in alleviating the suffering of children affected by conflict.For 25 years, War Child has been protecting innocent victims of conflict. Providing protection, education and livelihoods support, War Child works tirelessly to give children their childhood back and the tools to build a better future for themselves.
