The big screen celebration of the art and cultural impact of music videos will be holding its first meeting at Showroom Cinema in Sheffield on Thursday, September 10th. The following evening, MVPS returns to the Tyneside Cinema in Newcastle, on Friday, September 11th. 

As with the regular packed out shows in London at The Mildmay Club and Prince Charles Cinema, MVPS host David Knight will be curating a range of work across the decades, from well-known classic videos to rare gems, providing background and fun facts on just about everything on screen. 

The first visit to Showroom Cinema in Sheffield will include a focus on the city's major contribution to music videos via its filmmakers and artists, from Cabaret Voltaire to Self Esteem, via The Arctic Monkeys' debut album. 

Then MVPS returns to the Tyneside Cinema in Newcastle following a triumphant debut meeting in May, when the special guest was Semera Khan, talking about her career and in particular working with local hero Sam Fender as his creative director and video commissioner. This time, MVPS will be coming to the Electra screen at the Tyneside, presenting another gobsmacking selection of videos - including more local contributions to the artform of music videos.
