There’s just over a day left from today (August 5th) to enter work into the UK Music Video Awards 2026 via the UKMVAs website - in time for the final deadline of midnight on Thursday, August 6th. 

This includes the range of Technical Achievement (or Craft) awards which will honour the creativity and technical prowess of individuals working on a specific music video, celebrating the art and craft on show in specific departments. Here are the categories:

Best Animation in a Video

Best Casting in a Video 

Best Cinematography in a Video

Best Cinematography in a Video - Newcomer

Best Choreography in a Video

Best Colour Grade in a Video

Best Colour Grade in a Video - Newcomer 

Best Editing in a Video

Best Editing in a Video - Newcomer

Best Performance in a Video

Best Production Design in a Video

Best Styling in a Video

Best Visual Effects in a Video

Each entered video must have been completed and approved by the commissioning company between August 1st 2025 and August 6th 2026, the final day of the entry period. There is a slight crossover with the eligibility dates for last year's awards, but work that was entered last year cannot be entered again this year.

The final entry deadline to enter work is tomorrow - Wednesday, August 6th - at midnight. All work must be registered and uploaded by that time.

The first round of judging for this year’s UKMVAs begins approximately a week after the entry deadline – invitations to Jury Members to participate in the online judging round on the MVA judging platform have been sent out over the past few weeks. Get in touch with the UKMVAs team by email, if you are involved in music video production who wishes to be invited to be a Jury Member.

With the second round of judging scheduled for next month, all nominations for the UK Music Video Awards 2025 will be announced in late September. 

The UK Music Video Awards ceremony and aftershow party will return to legendary venue The Roundhouse in North London - for the first time in five years - on Wednesday, November 4th 2026.
