There are now two days left - from today, August 4th - to submit work to the UK Music Video Awards 2026, the premiere awards show for music video creativity in the UK and beyond, via the UKMVAs26 website.

This includes the section of 16 Best Video awards categorised by type of music. Each music genre – Pop, R&B/Soul/Jazz, Dance/Electronic, Rock, Alternative and Hip Hop/Grime/Rap – each offers awards for UK and International videos, with 4 more Best Video categories for Newcomer.

With the Newcomer categories, budget restrictions apply - any entered video must have had a budget below GB£20K. 

For the second year there is also a Best Low Budget Video category - for videos with budgets below GB£5K. There are also two awards for videos that stand outside the conventional definition of music video, for Best Live Video and Best Special Visual Project.

Each video has to be have been completed and delivered to the commissioning company between the dates of August 1st 2025 and August 6th 2026 - the date of the entry deadline. There is a slight crossover with the eligibility dates for last year's awards, but work that was entered last year cannot be entered again this year.

The final entry deadline to enter work is at midnight on Wednesday, August 6th. All work must be registered and uploaded by that time.

The first round of judging for this year’s UKMVAs begins approximately a week after the entry deadline – invitations to Jury Members to participate in the online judging round on the MVA judging platform are in the process of being sent out.

With the second round of judging scheduled for next month, all nominations for the UK Music Video Awards 2026 will be announced in late September. 

The UK Music Video Awards ceremony and aftershow party will return to legendary venue The Roundhouse in North London - for the first time in five years - on Wednesday, Novmember 4th 2026.
