Jake Gabbay has won the Cinematography In A Music Video award at the recent BSC Awards, for his work on the video for Clipse's Chains & Whips, featuring Kendrick Lamar.

Gabbay's work on the music video directed by Gabriel Moses is a technical and aesthetic feat, including the use of 'slit scan' and imaginative use of lipsync. The video was selected for the second annual prize given to Cinematography In A Music Video by the BSC, the British Society of Cinematographers, at the awards ceremony on February 7th 2026.

The other DoPs nominated for the award, which was sponsored by Aputure, were Rina Yang, for Little Simz Flood; Rui Jiang, for Common Saints' Illusions; and Ziga Zupancic for Movement's Lace.
