Leading London-based international VFX and grading studio Electric Theatre Collective has announced that it is partnering with the UK Music Video Awards once again this year, sponsoring one of its most prestigious awards.

Electric Theatre Collective (ETC) is sponsoring the award for Best Director - always one of the UKMVAs' most prestigious awards - for the fifth year running.

Oliver Whitworth, ETC's colour executive producer, says: "Electric Theatre Collective are proud to sponsor The Best Director category at 2024 UKMVAs. We have been blown away by the creative output we've seen in the last 12 months, and we look forward to seeing this year's nominees."

The announcement comes with the deadline for submissions to the UK Music Video Awards 2024 coming in just over two weeks time, on August 1st 2024.

ETC is an independent VFX studio, with a multi-award-winning colour grading and VFX/CGI team working across the top music videos, commercials, features and episodic TV.

With impeccable visual creativity always at the forefront of the work, the studio has won numerous awards, including a D&AD Black Pencil for their work on Pharrell Williams' Cash In Cash Out, which also won four awards at the UKMVAs, including Video Of The Year.

Entry is now open to the Best Director award, together with 36 other categories covering videos by music genre, special projects, live video, technical achievement, and individual and company awards - all via the UK Music Video Awards 2024 website.

That will be followed by two rounds of judging in most categories, with an announcement of nominations in late September. And the UK Music Video Awards 2024 ceremony will return to Magazine London, near the O2 Arena in London, on Thursday, October 24th.
