The UK Music Video Awards, the leading global awards programme for creativity in music videos and music visual projects, has launched its 17th annual event - and is now open for entries.

The UKMVAs has opened its doors today, June 12th, for the UK Music Video Awards 2024, with the premier awards show for music video production now accepting submissions for work accomplished in the UK and around the world in music video and related areas during the past year on its website, in 37 separate categories - including four new categories, introduced this year.

Entrants can submit their work via the official website at www.ukmva.com, from now until the entry deadline on August 1st 2024. Details of how to submit can be found on the Entry Info page of the website.

Work entered at the awards must have been completed between August 1st 2023 and July 31st 2024, and can be entered in a range of categories covering directorial achievement by music genre, technical and craft achievement, live video, and special projects, while there are also awards for individual achievement in several different fields of endeavour.

Four new awards have been introduced to the UKMVAs this year. For the first time, there is an award for Best Executive Producer, in addition to the existing Best Producer category; and there are also three awards for technical achievement by up-and-coming talent, with Newcomer talent recognised in the areas of Cinematography, Colour Grading and Editing.

The awards programme will culminate in a celebration of world-beating visual work on Thursday October 24th, when the UK Music Video Awards will return to Magazine London on the River Thames in the Greenwich Peninsula for the third time, following the glittering UKMVAs' awards ceremonies at the venue in 2022 and last year.

Submissions should be made until the entry deadline at midnight, August 1st 2024 (BST). Entry criteria for each category is on the UKMVAs website. The categories are:

Since its inception in 2008, the UKMVAs has grown into the most important annual event in the calendar for the world of music video production.
