The second Videoclip Italia Awards was held in Rome on Sunday (June 11th), where Giada Bossi was the leading award-winner on the night with four awards, including the Best Director prize, and the Best Italian Music Video award, for her video for Quattro Pareti by Arssalendo (above, centre, with fellow award-winners). Other big winners included Tommaso Ottomano's video for Maneskin's The Loneliest, which won two awards out of the five categories in which it received nominations, namely Best Rock Music Video and Best Cinematography. Two videos by Italian pop star Irama won prizes: Ovunque Sarai directed by Enea Colombi won Best Pop Music Video, while Ali directed by Broga's received the Best VFX award.

The video for Piedmont band Tamango's song Sirene e Pirati, co- directed by the band with Simone Coppola, Luca Giraudo, Filippo Scimone, earned the Best Color Grading and Student Jury award. The Best International Music Video category was won by Argentinian directors Hernan Corera and Juan Piczman for their remarkable promo Nadie for Sin Bandera.

"We are extremely satisfied with this second edition [of the Videoclip Italia Awards]," says co-director Nicola Marceddu. "It was a wonderful evening and we think we succeeded in giving voice and space to a generation of young talents and an entire sector that is too often not considered.

"The numbers and enthusiasm recorded on this evening confirm the growing interest in our event, perhaps the only one to catalyze so many central figures in Italian music video industry. We are happy to see awarded artists such as Giada Bossi, who is also collecting laurels abroad, but also outsiders of absolute value such as LESYEU or the work of Piedmontese Tamango."

Fellow awards director Alessio Rosa adds: "This second edition marks an important moment of growth for us. In small steps we are heading toward that event we imagined at the beginning. It has been wonderful to find along the way the support of international festivals and partners, as well as to record the support of entities such as ARRI, Canon, Trans Audio Video, Promonews and MTV. We think this is the clearest testimony to the good work we are doing, and the response from fans and industry insiders this evening pushes us with even more enthusiasm to think big for the third edition.
