Since its inception in 2008, the UKMVAs has grown into the most important annual event in the calendar for the world of music video production. The importance of the UKMVAs to music video production community in the UK and around the world was confirmed with the return of the ceremony with a live audience last November, following a pandemic-hit virtual awards show the previous year.

Once again, the UKMVAs aims to uncover some of the globe’s freshest filmmaking talent in all its diversity for this year’s competition, through a series of outreach programmes with partners, as well as to highlight the best creatives the UK and other more established filmmaking territories have to offer. As well as continuing its longstanding media partnership with Promonews, the UK Music Video Awards is partnering with music video festivals overseas including Canada's Prism Prize and Brazil's m-v-f-.

Event director, Louise Stevens, says: “The UKMVAs is always a special night in the calendar and we’re excited that we’ll be able to welcome even more people to this year’s show with the move to Magazine London. But in the meantime, we’re excited to see what visual treasures will come through our doors this year. Even after 14 years, we’re still blown away by the extent and variety of creative talent that gets submitted for the UKMVAs."
