UK Music Video Awards 2021: Time Based Arts sponsors Best New Director at UKMVAs

UK Music Video Awards 2021: Time Based Arts sponsors Best New Director at UKMVAs

Promonews - 30th July 2021

With a few days to go to the entry deadline to the UK Music Video Awards 2021, leading London-based visual effects studio Time Based Arts have announced their support for the UKMVAs once again by sponsoring the award for Best New Director.

It's the fourth time that Time Based Arts has come on board as a partner of the UKMVAs by sponsoring one of its most prestigious and coveted prizes.

Founded in 2009 by Flame artists Mike Skrgatic and James Allen, the Shoreditch-based company has firmly established a reputation for stellar visual effects and colour grading, working in commercials, film, TV and music videos.

"We’re delighted to sponsor the Best New Director award again this year," says Simone Grattarola, Director of Colour Grading at Time Based Arts. "As a purely independent company we champion young, passionate and innovative film makers. The vision these challenging new artists bring to augment the music is inspirational. We are proud to support the UKMVA’s and the next generation of directors."

Time Based Arts has always consistently welcomed music video creators for grading and VFX work, and recent projects have included colourist Myles Bevan's work on Galantis featuring Little Mix & David Guetta's Heartbreak Anthem and Khazali's Comfort.

The announcement of TBA's partnership with the UKMVAs arrives with the entry deadline for this year's awards fast approaching. Entry is now open to the Best New Director award, together with 37 other categories covering technical achievement, video by music genre, and individual and company categories, via the UK Music Video Awards website.

The full range of categories to be found at the UKMVA website, and entries to the awards are now being accepted on the website here and here. The deadline for entries is at midnight (BST) on Tuesday, August 3rd.

That will be followed by two rounds of judging in most categories, with an announcement of nominations in late September. And the UK Music Video Awards ceremony will return to the legendary Roundhouse in London on Thursday, November 4th 2021.
