Camerimage 2017: Leningrad's Kolchik and alt-J's 3WW win Music Videos Competition
Ilya Naishuller's spectacular video for Leningrad's Kolchik (above) won Best Music Video, while the Best Cinematography in a Music Video award went to Dustin Lane for his work on alt-J's 3WW, at Camerimage 2017, the annual festival celebrating the art of cinematography, held last week at Bydgoczsz in Poland.
Veteran American music video director Wayne Isham (Metallica, Bon Jovi, Britney Spears and many more) headed the jury consisting of cinematographers Ed Lachman, Daniel Pearl and John Perez, and producer Richard N Gladstein, who decided this year's Music Videos competition.
The winners were announced at the gala event that closed the festival last Saturday (November 18th), where the main competition winner, for best feature, went to the Hungarian film On Body On Soul, directed by Ildikó Enyedi, with cinematography by Máté Herbai.
