David Knight - 30th Jan 2017
The Radar Awards 2017 has launched, inviting entries from up-and-coming content creators worldwide.
Expanding from the music video-only format from its first year, there are five awards in the official music video category, the second Radar Awards is looking for entries in sleeve art, tour posters, photographs, web design, gifs, unboxing videos, lyric videos and official music videos, made since April last year. These can be entered in the 'Campaign Content' or 'Official Music Videos' categories.
Earlybird entries are open from now until March 5th, with the chance of mentoring and advice from top professionals to winners and shortlisted entrants. More information on the Radar Awards 2017 here. Entry forms to the awards are here.
Launched last year at London’s YouTube Space, the Radar Awards hooked up winning creators for mentorship and more. ‘We were really proud to have such a successful first year; with so many world-class production companies mentoring creatives, with our [Best Director] winner Bob Gallagher getting signed straightaway to Good Egg and shortlisted filmmaker Rafe Jennings winning a Best Newcomer award at the prestigious UKMVAs," says Caroline Bottomley, director of Radar and the Radar Awards.
This year's event will take place later in the year in London, where winners will again benefit from mentorships with agents, reps and production companies, plus all shortlisted creators can expect written feedback on their work from at least three industry judges and an invitation to the awards event.
