Promo News - 21st Nov 2016

The video for Massive Attack ft Young Fathers' Voodoo In My Blood, directed by Ringan Ledwidge and starring Rosalind Pyke, won Best Video in the Music Videos Competition at the 24th annual Camerimage Festival on Saturday.

The festival's other music video award, for Best Cinematography In A Video, went to Martin Ruhe for his work as DoP on the video for Mykki Blanco ft Woodkid's High School Never Ends, directed by Matt Lambert.

Both awards were announced at the gala award ceremony which closed Camerimage, the film festival celebrating the art of cinematography, last Saturday (November 19th).

Following a screening of the 21 Music Videos Competition finalists last Thursday at the Opera Nova, in Bydgoszcz, Poland – Camerimage's festival base – the two videos were chosen for their awards by the Music Videos Competition jury chaired by director/composer Mike Figgis.

Among the other award winners at Camerimage, DoP Greig Fraser won the festival's highest honour, the Golden Frog, for his work on the feature film Lion, and Gerrie Floyd's cinematography on the docu-drama Notes On Blindness, directed by Peter Middleton and James Spinney, was also honoured.
