Fleur & Manu's Skrillex wins 5 Pencils at D&AD Awards 2016
The Fleur & Manu-directed video for Skrillex's Doompy Poop won five awards, including two prized Yellow Pencils, at the D&AD Awards, held in London last night (May 19th).
The video, which extends the loop narrative idea in the film Groundhog Day to absurd lengths, won Yellow Pencils in the Music Videos and Direction for Music Videos, and also won Wood Pencils for Cinematography for Music Videos, Editing for Music Videos and Production Design for Music Videos.
18 honours were handed out in the Music Videos category that was restored to the D&AD Awards last year. The video Chemical Brothers' Wide Open, directed by Dom & Nic, garnered the other Yellow Pencil handed out this year, for Special Effects for Music Videos.
