Four nods for Iron Sky at 2015 D&AD Awards
Daniel Wolfe's video for Paolo Nutini's Iron Sky has been recognised in four categories at the 2015 D&AD Awards, while David Wilson, DANIELS, Fleur & Manu and Sia & Daniel Askill are other directors with multiple honours among the 19 Pencils handed down by the Music Video Jury after their deliberations this week.
Wolfe's video for Nutini's Iron Sky has won four awards in the categories of Music VIdeos, Direction, Cinematography and Editing; while DANIELS' video for DJ Snake and Lil Jon's Turn Down For What has two honours, for Music Videos and Direction; and Sia and Daniel Askill's video for Sia's Chandelier is also honoured in the Music Videos and Direction.
David Wilson's video for Arcade Fire's We Exist is honoured in the Direction category and his video for Royal Blood's Out Of The Black in Animation. Fleur & Manu's video for Movement's Ivory has a Direction nomination and their video for Gesaffelstein's Hate Or Glory nominated in Cinematography.
Other nominated videos include Roy Kafri's Mayokero by Vania Heymann, Duologue's Memex by Marshmallow Lazer Feast, Throne's Tharsis Sleeps by Nicos Livesey and Tom Bunker, Last Night In Paris's Pure by Karim Huu Do, Black Atlass's Jewels by Yoann Lemoine and OK Go's The Writing's On The Wall.
A total of 848 Pencils were handed out over four days of judging in a week of D&AD Awards judging held at the Truman Brewery in East London. The designation of each Pencil award - which how includes Wood Pencil, to replace the previous In-Book honour, will be announced at the 2015 D&AD Awards ceremony, held on May 21st.
