The entry deadline for the UK Music Video Awards 2013 in the best video, technical achievement, live, advertising and interactive categories has been extended from this coming Friday (August 2nd) to next Thursday, August 8th. 

That means there's just over one week to enter the UK Music Video Awards 2013, from today (July 31st).

All work must be uploaded to the judging platform by midnight in the UK (BST) on the 8th. This will be the final deadline for entry, and the UK MVAs will not be able accept any entries after that time for these categories. 

The entry process is straightforward. Go to the UK Music Video Awards 2013 website, fill in the online entry form, pay the entry fee and upload the video to the online judging platform, ready for the first round of judging for this year’s MVAs.

There are no less than fifteen Best Video categories to choose from, for music videos of all shapes and sizes made in the past year, from August 1st 2012, to July 31st 2013. Each music genre – Pop, Dance, Urban, Indie/Rock and Alternative – has its own British, International and Budget award. A video being entered into the Best Video section of the awards can only be entered into one of these categories.

There are eight technical achievement categories: Animation, Art direction/design, Cinematography, Choreography, Editing, Styling, Telecine, and Visual Effects. And the entry deadline has also been extended to the MVA awards for the best direction of a live music performance and for the best music ad or viral, as well as the Innovation award for those pieces of work which really push the definition of moving image for music from anywhere in the world.
