UK Music Video Awards 2010: Mighty Boosh’s Rich Fulcher hosts this year’s MVAs!
David Knight - 5th Oct 2010
The UK Music Video Awards are delighted to announce that larger-than-life comedian Rich Fulcher will be hosting the MVAs - the big awards night of the year for British music videos - in a week's time on Tuesday October 12th.
Stand-up comedian, TV performer, writer and occasional music video star, the loveably bonkers UK-based American comedian is best known for his range a scene-stealing characters in hit TV comedy The Mighty Boosh - including the unforgettable Bob Fossil, Lester Corncrake, The Ape of Death and 'world's greatest groupie' Eleanor.
Having performed on the Boosh TV show and record-breaking live tour, Rich also starred in cult comedy Snuff Box and his hilarious book, Tiny Acts of Rebellion (97 Almost Legal Ways Of Sticking It To The Man, was published last year. Rich has also recently appeared in the occasional video - including the video for Metronomy's On the Dance Floor directed by Ninian Doff for the BBC Music Shorts initiative last year.
Rich now brings his demented brand of humour to the MVAs - and fireworks and hilarity are guaranteed - both before and during the show.
As well as a new host, the UK Music Video Awards 2010 will have a new venue and a great bill of DJs for its aftershow party - to be announced tomorrow. The awards takes place at the ODEON West End in Leicester Square next Tuesday, October 12th, and tickets are still available for the big awards party of the year. To order seats for the 2010 MVAs - including entry to the aftershow party - download the UK MVA10 Ticket Reservation Form.
