Kap Bambino’s Dead Lazers by new Warp signing James Lees

Kap Bambino’s Dead Lazers by new Warp signing James Lees

David Knight - 15th May 2009

James Lees has won acclaim and awards for his short films - last year he was nominated for an European Academy Award. And following shorts like The Apology Line and The Archivist - his compelling contribution to last year's batch of BBC New Music Shorts - and a surprisingly creepy ad for Radio 4's Science Fiction Season, James has now joined Warp Films and just completed his first pop promo.

It's for intense French band Kap Bambino, and it's a suitably dark and atmospheric piece, beautifully photographed by Ross McLennan. A taste of things to come from James.
