Lucinda Schreiber and Yanni Kronenberg have created an animated video for Aussie outfit Firekites from chalk drawings. That's right, chalk.

It took six months - four months full-time - and 1900 frames to complete. No word as yet as to whether Lucinda and Yanni are, in fact, clinically insane.

This could be likened to the fantastic animated mural work of Blu. Fair enough, but actually the animation itself is even better. As fellow animators have noted on the vimeo post page, the chalk drawings flow beautifully.

It deserves all the superlatives its getting, and then some. What an achievement.
