Constantine // Spence create a darkly evocative promo for Léa Sen.The video for Dragonfly sees the artist in an enigmatic industrial location, where heavy smoke and grungy textures disguise an abstract figure, who follows Sen like a physical shadow. Purposely abstract and cryptic, the video feels like segments of a dream, playing out in a liminal time and space. Lovely work from the duo and creative team.

A mysterious figure ponders what it means to be a man in 2022, in Giles Edward-N's enigmatic promo for Shadez The Misfit.The video explores the artist's socio-economic upbringing and life experience, through to his role as guide and mentor as a new father, with a powerful and memorable style.Shot in high contrast black and white, the video uses conceptual setups to bring the themes to life, with burnt-out highlights and crushed shadows creating a gritty, otherworldly aesthetic. The autobiographical piece blends narrative with abstract imagery, representing the uncertainty of the journey ahead, and the newfound responsibility he has been given.

Alluding to a demonic force - through unusual cutaways and satanic shadows - the video is both impassioned and enigmatic, leaning into dark and dangerous territory with flair.

Joel Barney directs an unconventional studio performance promo for Himalayas. Set in an illuminated underworld, the video sees the group rock out whilst a cluster of haunting figures claw at screens behind them. With an emphasis on creative lighting techniques such as silhouettes and shadows, the video suggests a surreality lurking beneath the surface, which creates a gripping, stirring atmosphere. The performance at the centre of the concept is a breathless, rip-roaring affair, which amplifies the punchy track.

Griff dances with her shadow in AB/CD/CD's dynamic promo for One Night. Opening on a bustling London street, the artist notices her shadow acting out of character, untethered to natural rules, and moving to its own beat.Launching into a flurry of choreographed dance - and plenty of visual effects trickery - we follow Griff out of the streets of the city and inside, into studio setups, where the shadow is brought to life as a real character. Tapping into classic musical film territory - it's a modern updating of the 'me and my shadow' concept that has been delighting audiences since the early days of cinema - the video feels like a step up in scale for the artist, who won the Brit Award for Rising Star back in May.
