Waley Wang directs a stirring promo for Christian Lee Hutson, which sees the singer-songwriter and bandmates perform on a 360 degree rotating platform, in the centre of Washington Square Park in New York. The elevated live performance of Strawberry Lemonade subtly transforms into a melancholy of recalled memories and mourned connections, with the location of the rotating platform moving uptown to Central Park, and leading into the guitar solo section. Balancing a clever central concept with an unexpected flourish of abstract narrative, the video emanates a bittersweet vibe, which runs straight through the track - which was produced by Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst - and the visuals.

A tube train carriage transforms into a coruscating disco wonderland in David Wilson's flamboyant promo for Zach Witness. The intimate video pays homage to two queer icons - Frankie Knuckles and Larry Levan - and transports viewers back to 70’s New York, to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ roots of dance music.Exuding a hyper-confident, sexy aura, Zach Witness moves and shakes his way through the glorious track, creating countless iconic moments in just under three minutes. An intense visual feast from David Wilson - directing his first music video since pre-pandemic times - that deserves a tonne of attention.

Keelan Cunningham and Brian O' Carroll create a light-hearted promo for Keelan's song These Days, on a cold February day in Lower Manhattan."The concept for the video was simply to film Keelan fooling around during the course of one day in New York, and try to capture the vibe of the song in the visuals, interacting with people and feeding off the energy of the city," explains O'Carroll. "It’s light-touch, playful and alludes to the themes in the song." he continues. "We filmed it on a sunny (but chilly!) day in early February 2022 in locations around lower Manhattan. It was guerrilla video-making as we had no permits, etc. We’d find a location we liked and would just jump out of the van, set up quickly and shoot."Indeed, the unavoidably DIY approach of the shoot boosts the overwhelmingly joyful atmosphere of the concept, and the B-Roll footage of New York helps give the video a sense of time and place.

Siah is under heavy surveillance in Lucrecia Taormina's video for Ain't Stoppin. Set in a café, - with an enigmatic voiceover which tops and tails the concept - the video presents an abstract, Tarantino-esque vignette following a wanted man. Siah sets up shop at the café, and as he orders a smorgasbord of coffee and snacks, a group of twenty men slowly filter in to keep a close eye on his every movement. Switching from the overtly surreal aesthetic seen in recent videos for Ashnikko and Bree Runway, this video still has a heavy dose of Taormina's weird fantasy vibes, and works brilliantly as a standalone visual for the track. Dominic Lahiff pays homage to New York City in his striking black and white promo for Ghost.Backdropped by the haunting - yet strangely optimistic - empty streets of Times Square, Ghost is shown performing as the rest of the world is locked inside. Intended to show the grit and resilience of New York and the wider world against this crisis, Lahiff knows it's only a matter of time until we are out and back to normal again. This visual acts as a stopgap between now and then, with beautiful flair and a high-contrast aesthetic which perfectly suits the piece.

Three boys get summoned to Blu DeTiger's world of funk and groove, in Kevin Lombardo's nostalgic promo for Vintage. Built around a vibrant, energetic performance setup, the video shows three men casually walking down New York streets, before happening upon a large piece of chalk.They are all inspired to draw a square - matching the platform DeTiger is standing on in the other setup - and are suddenly transported to be a part of the fun.It's a charming promo which highlights Blu's talent as both a vocalist and bassist, and a refreshingly understated perspective of the Big Apple.
