A technically challenging, apparent one-shot video by Wouter Stoter for Dutch outfit I Am Oak's Palpable - inspired by painter Caspar David Friedrich which follows a young man as he walks through a forest. And he also contrives a spectacular climax, when he emerges through the woods and on top of a cliff... Shot in Slovenia, Wouter reveals that the superb tracking shot was achieved by attaching the camera to a cable. "I must say that there is a cut somewhere," he says. "I didn't want to and it wasn't the plan, but budget forced us. The camera was also supposed to go much higher, like an autonomous force in the woods. Anyway, there's always something missing and that's great cause it keeps us going!"
