Inside an industrial office setting, a group of workers tap away in a trance, as the surrounding technology slicks wet with some sort of slime, in Federico Barni's dark sci-fi spectacle for experimental electronic artist aircode. The abstract imagery and slow-moving camerawork reveals the mystery piece by piece, never giving away the whole truth, but enough of it to make it feel haunting and otherworldly. "This is a music video, but also a cinematic science fiction short of sorts, about a mysterious and potentially sentient liquid computer machine," says Barni about the concept, which blends the futuristic dystopia of The Matrix with something contemporary and unsettling.
