Nick Hearne and Ben Watkins co-direct an intense visual for hardcore metal band Cage Fight, where vocalist Rachel Aspe confronts an online tormentor. The video for Pig is a feverish trip through frantic performance and a nightmarish concept, calling out the creepy men who send women unsolicited messages online. A man in a pig mask, hiding behind his screen, is confronted with this online harrassment, made to face the consequences of his actions as his fantasy turns into a nightmare. "PIG is the expression of my disgust of men sending unsolicited intimate pictures, messages, crossing boundaries and harassing women digitally," says Aspe."I’ve had hundreds over the years, and it’s crazy to think that everyday women regularly get these messages. I just wanted to scream my hatred to them, raise awareness of the issue and show solidarity to other women who experience this abuse.”Using overlays of real messages sent to Rachel, and other woman who volunteered their experiences, it's a sobering yet cathartic promo which feels powerful and timely.
