The video for Why'd You Think I Called You On The Phone? sees BB procrastinate on an important phone call, before entering an abstract realm that amplifies his insecurities and self doubt. With a neon-drenched aesthetic and dreamy, lingering shots, the video is influenced by the aesthetics of East Asian cinema and the peculiar expressivity of clowning to depict a queer narrative. An absorbing work, nicely attuned to the nostalgic orchestral pop stylings of the track.
