Directors Samuel Häkkinen & Henna Välkky pay homage to the film Koyaanisqatsi, in the video for Finnish band Olpekkalev's Poluton Maa. Featuring hectic cities, dark alleyways and vast deserts, the video was shot over two years across four continents. It was made as a constant side project during work trips and holidays to New York, The Sahara, Italy and Japan.Otherworldy and surreal, the visual is a perfect accompaniment to the haunting track. While the footage of cities packed with people feels particularly resonant, even poignant, during the pandemic crisis.
