Gavin James' song 22 was already a tearjerking little tune... and now its been paired with this heartbreaking video by Feel Good Lost, aka Brendan Canty. Shot in Cabra, in the north of Dublin, the video starts out with a violent, back-alley encounter between two boys, with one - decidedly the bully - beating the other to a pulp. But as we follow the boys back home, we are made privy to their respective backgrounds, and the bully's deeply troubled family life. It's another powerful work from a director who has been building an impressive reputation for emotive narrative videos since the success of his promo for Hozier’s Take Me To Church. And Feel Good Lost has now joined Academy/ A+. On his signing, the London-based prodution company say: "Brendan's passion for filmmaking led him to searching out music he loved and approaching bands directly to work with them. His video for Hozier brought him to international acclaim as the YouTube hits soared."Recently named by the Irish Times as one of the 50 most creative people in Ireland, Brendan’s love of narrative and strong musical sense make him an invaluable addition to the Academy/A+ roster."
