A man has some painful memories reconfigured in Elliot Simpson's promo for Joel Corry and Becky Hills. In the same faux-utopic vein as previous collabs I Wish and Bed, the sci-fi concept in History proposes a world in which memories can be altered and 'put right', via a personal home visit from Joel, Becky and their futuristic arsenal of gadgets. The narrative perfectly blends the borders of surrealism and reality, and gives the artists a chance to flex their acting muscles in addition to some very filmic performance setups. Seamless and slick, the video is equal parts Black Mirror and pop promo, and is a real visual treat.

After collaborating on the videos for Lonely and last year's Summer smash Head & Heart, Simpson returns with a refreshing concept for Corry's latest track, depicting each of the artists as robotic 'perfect partners', fresh off the factory line.A tongue-in-cheek social commentary for our digital matchmaking age, the high concept idea is beautifully executed, with glossy cinematography and pastel colour palettes creating a near-future aesthetic. The performances are also highly believable, with Guetta's cameo rounding off an exciting and engaging project.
