Jeremi Durand wraps up his trilogy of videos for Yodelice, with this stirring promo for The Light Of My Hands. Exploring themes of life, death and reincarnation, the third and final chapter of the project dramatises a birth that takes place in extraordinary circumstances. A female couple are in a forest when the pregnant member goes into labour and an emergency delivery takes place right there, in the midst of nature. This follows the second video for Trust Fall - which shows an interpretation of what could be death and reincarnation - and celebrates the the most incredible act of them all: birth. In The Light Of My Hands, the result is a baby being born who wears a subtle mark on his left cheek, like the main characters in the other chapters. Released on International Women’s Day - March 8th, 2023 - this is an ode to beauty, to nature and to humanity in general, with an intensity as well as uplifting quality that comes from terrific performances from Camelia Lumbroso and Nina Aboutajedyne, allied with luminous cinematography by David Wright.
