There are few words that would give justice to this promo for Scottish DJ Hudson Mohawke. Brilliant, is probably one of them.Alan Resnick, director of much hilarious and weird content for Adult Swim, and actor Patti Harrison, known for her work in Shrill and I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, have collaborated to create a wonderfully daft and visceral video for Mohawke's Biscan. It's a 1-v-1 basketball game with a difference, as one character wants to play the game and the other - played by Harrison - just wants to dance her heart out. It's a trippy, hypnotic fantasy complete with superhero backstory, choreography - and lots of questionable bodily fluids. It's both relentlessly dreamlike, and propulsively energetic and visceral, as the song and Harrison's pumping dance moves demand. And for a concept so absurd and frantic, the video looks beautiful, blending vintage textures with some truly horror-esque moments, with some spot-on performances.A blast from start to finish - even if the basketball match is a bit one-sided.
