Henna Välkky & Samuel Häkkinen direct a fresh, gently surreal promo for Finnish artist Antti Paalanen. The video for Takatukka features Paalanen as an eccentric, accordion-playing barber who's out to change the world, one fabulous haircut at a time. It's bonkers, in the best possible way. But beware - you will see mullets in this video."The mysterious yet comical vibe of the track was an instant inspiration, taking us directly to a recurring theme in our works: Cults," explan the directors. "The video takes inspiration from occult cinema like Alejandro Jodorowsky while appreciating modern surreal music video culture, in the vein of Salvatore Ganacchi and Tommy Cash."The physical set of the barbershop was designed so that when the walls are removed, we are left with this mysterious round black and white symbol on the floor that repeats on the background of this Lynchesque void, where the cult gathers to sing and dance in harmony, rocking their brand new mullets."
