Dan French directs a heartfelt promo exploring body image and self esteem, for rising pop artist Declan J Donovan. Casting from a pool of actors with their own personal experiences with the subject matter, the video is an authentic representation of the growing sense of anxiety that stems from modern technology. Shot in a stylised yet understated way, we see a string of vignettes depicting the darker side of social media - and its effect on several young adults - before the film u-turns into an empowering display of positivity, disregarding societal standards and confidently stepping up into their true selves.
